Something I wrote during my writing marathon...a bit of my philosophy...hey I have no name like socrates, plato...I am just Lo!

Sometimes in life you feel like youre not going anywhere
And yourself to others you compare.
But there's something you should know
Dont worry about anyone else, but your own destiny follow.

Never let anyone take away your pride
And your feelings dont be afraid to hide.
In this life for you God has a special plan
And if you believe in yourself, then you know in your heart you can.

Mistakes you will make
Some of them causing you heartache.
Just in all that you do, give it your best
Knowing you can pass life's test.

Ignore crewl remarks about you that people say
For from your dreams they only want to lead you astray
To get places in life will require you to fight
And if you want to win, then of your goals don't lose sight.

Tough times are going to lay ahead
Keep your head on straight so you won't be misled.
There will be more than one road in life that you can take and it's up to you which one you choose
You won't always win. There are times when you will lose.

You can battle defeat
Finding the truth in all the deceit.
Never substitute your values
But remain strong in your virtues.

Listen to your heart
And all the deception and lies outsmart.
When you stand up for whats right, people wont often understand
Be prepared that you a loser they will brand.

Stedfastly stand your ground
Even when pain is all around.
Your voice let them hear
Dont be afraid to let it ring out loud and clear.

In life make a positive change
Refusing to back down when others claim you're strange.
People may try to make you what they want you to be
Being yourself is the only way you will truly feel free.

Depression and stress wont have you beat
Go out and your dreams and goals complete.
Break through the negativity. Be the Blessing
By releasing your inner beauty.

Your destiny patiently awaits
So walk the straight and narrow through lifes little gates.
Yourself go and find
Leaving your past behind.

I do love deeply and very hard...I think when I wrote that during my marathon time with Denny's challenge...I seen what was lying ahead for my future reading this...it was sad when I read it as I thought about how in love I was with Denny and doing this for him...but I thought it was fitting for my break up with him now and the way I look at it through a different mindframe now...

I am sure this person does....as we were IM'ing each other and had to cheer them up through their trying moment in their life...plus the fact this person also helped me when I had to make that difficult decision of breaking up with Denny was "in my face" with different words that helped me process this decision...they did not encourage me in my decision either way, but it helped me anyway...and by God I am going to help this person too with all that is in my power!  I would do the same thing for you and many others here..I just hope this person will come and visit...we could eg them on you know..?

I just wrote this in the other thread.But i thought this is the place to put it !




 No sense dwells in this feeling so fragile
It is a madness tinged with a joy so real
I see your eyes and I am lost now within you
Securing my love together with yours

It's close to the edge and I sense the overwhelming
Struggling to keep my senses as fact
For inside you is a heart that has caught me
Holding me close , with you I'm intact

For you are the dew in the morning of my life
The light of the day and the darkness of night
This blanket of seasons has sold me to you
let the mist be the cloud of the first kiss

Our lives are a recipe that can't be ignored
Hold me, betroth me to the inside of you
Timeless does beckon as I say " I do "

No Title

Never seeing atop the skin
It's beneath the surface where the truth lies within
Though it's not what we appear to be
But what you do that defines you

Burden holds this man for reason
In truth there be a judge for treason
Suffering soul that wants her so much
Reaching out and feeling her touch

Tortuous pain and woes are sharp
Torment folds his strangled heart
His lungs have air but pierced with shards
The glass, the discovery, that tears them apart

Fragile moments are stolen right here
The love is cherished ,a blanket of fear
reaching out for you I do
You always know..that I Love You


So, what do you think of this I just made.

I think all of the poetry here is wonderful. There is much talent here. Who would have thought it would be on a science site that these words would be made.

Ian, That is quite lovely! How long have you loved the written word as your poems are so revealing? You have a true gift of insight here! Amazing what one sees when one looks further then the mere words on the written page! The key to written verse, Lies in the ability of one, to not only read the written words, but to read between the lines and seek out the truth that lies there unspoken!

An old friend
As I stood and watched a creature having problems keeping its eyes open
The sense of death filled the space between us.
Waiting for the moment to act, to end life.
I could not help but remember an old friend of mine.
How he was just lying there with only the strength to look around
With fear of not being able to move.
Wanting to, but to fail every time.
My eyes start to water; my mouth runs dry.
All I can remember is watching my old friends eyes,
Scared and unsure; trying to focus on something To give him courage.
I could not speak but wanted to say I would always love him,
To assure him that everything was going to be fine.
But still with the knowledge that he would soon be gone.
I awoke to find that he had gone, only to be seen with my inward eye.
Tears soon followed.
My eyes started to burn and I could feel the warmth of my tears
As they ran down my face and to the ground.
Why did he have to go I screamed to my soul?
My heart broken.
I still look at a photo of him and remember the times
where we shared each other’s company.
The warm and cold days of life;How fragile.
As I look at the photo my eyes well up;
And my tears once again hit the ground.
Forever to be missed by a family
who has lost a part of them.

Some days it's not even worth knawing at the straps
