Well, I'd say as well as you write in this story..that you should be very busy writing tons more.. it is a very good story line that moves along nicely....you should complete this story and make sure you get a copyright on it and start many more or at least your next one.. I think as long as you keep it simple entertaining and moving with such nice detail and story line, characters etc,   that you will have no problem publishing....!  Good, good luck,  and I will eagerly await and expect to be able to read the finished product very soon!! BRAVO!

My son is an aspiring writer, just bought him "Writer's Market 2012". Cobwebs already accumulating. Also recommended Amazon, who will help you to self-publish. A friend did that successfully, his book (a suspense thriller) is still selling - very modestly - at Amazon.

fermenting memories, as years roll along.

Restless souls still bound by love,

take heart in the knowing, loves gold,

So does love grow, when it turns not to mold.
giving way to "new" years yet left to unfold...

The years spent, in daunting relent..
didn't tame the fires, that twixt them, were lit.

Simmering below, so not to be seen...
Still lies a lifetime, of loves sweet dreams.

Now priceless as gold,

Haunting the forum

Old memories, that filled my life with joy.
the love of friends, and a girl for a boy.

Learning of stars, and atoms and quarks,
Talking up engines, and just how they work!

Sharing of rainbows, and laughing at posts.
Waiting on Sheepy to shock us the most!

Remembering the Beaver who amazed us each one.
poking at Sheepy, to keep it all fun!

Then Mirage in the background to dry hump The sheep,
which kept us all laughing, science peeps, and geeks!

Some of us parted with life's little trials,
but now are back to start roaming the isles!

Talking of haunting the old forum threads,
and even reviving some that were dead!

Took days to re-enter, the new forum to see,
had to trick the new software, to make it want me.

It said I don't know you , its been way too long!
Reregister, or Activate, your login is wrong!

So here I am in an old dead thread,
but I am back on site, just there in your head!

So here's to our forum all shiny and new,
and hoping old friends will be with us too!

So congrats to Dr.Chris and all his crew,
for making it sparkle and helping me too!

The Place looks great, and questions abound,
The Sheepy is in the forum just bouncing around.

He's making the forum feel all homey and sound
Now I think I will get to sneaking around!

Wetting my whistle

I'm feeling the need to wrIite something special,
but, its been 6 years since I wet my whistle!

Dragging my feet through dry desert sand,
There's been little water, In my written word land!

Thoughts like raindrops within a drought,
So hard to find, and live without!

Storing away any moist morning dew,
In hopes that one day a big storm will brew!

A cloud is forming of unwritten words,
The weight of which, will begin a purge!

Releasing six years, of life's physical pains,
Emotions, toils and so much change!

Now trickling down from a rusty spout,
All my words are now just dripping out...

Like magic sprinkles falling all around,
The words are soaking into the ground!

What once was dry and baron soil,
Will bring again, a new life of toil!

New hopes, new dreams, much work it seems,
Winters encroaching, to ready for spring!

So preparing the ground for all that abounds,
My work has just really begun.

Revisiting sites where life's filled with light,
and the wonders therein, that bring such delight.

Within each wall, knowledge befalls me,
I mix old with new, to teach and enthrall me!

Tomorrow's new day, refreshing and clean,
No longer arid and dying it seems.

New beginnings, new dreams, new friends, all around...
Just wetting my whistle and sticking around!

Living for a better tomorrow

Time for laughing, time for dancing, time for living now seems so rare..
People passing, and people dying, whilst guns are blasting into the air..

Crazy Triggers, that are spurning hatred, senseless killing all abound,
dozens falling, lifeless bodies all lying on the ground.

What lies so deep within those hearts, of those who are so distraught,
that they'd take the lives of all these souls, without a second thought.

My heart cries out in anguish, and tears of bitter pain,
at the loss of those who have been taken, by those who seem insane..

Makes no sense, rhyme or reason, just lashing out it seems,
Blatant thoughtless killing, lives ripped to the extreme.

Countries spiraling out of step, struggling  to get their Balance back,
Frightened by the politics, the times , and all the covid sick....

Changes all across the world, with mindful heart I watch,
Not understanding all I see, and mourning life and loss.

Trying hard to understand, the twists this world is taking,
Hoping soon to feel a change, for better days in the making.

Closing my eyes, on the days passing, soon I will be waking,
In hopes that as I sleep the world will calm its shaking.
