   REFLECTIONS



  I remember my Wedding day! I was nervous and worried that he'd not show, change his mind, and want to let me go!

     I cried as he had not arrived and this time passing made me such a nervous Bride!
   He showed, much like an alley cat all battered and bruised and looking so sad!

    I saw a glint there in his eyes that day as he stood to take the vows we made.
   Some how I thought, that shimmering spot was love sparkling from his eyes, but not!

    I remember every detail now, of each little time I saw the same look, crease his brow.

    I remember The day each of my children were born, the smell, the joy, the love, I was torn!

    I laughed and I cried, then I settled inside, for what would be best for them!

     My decision was made and life was played, years of scenes rolled by with friends.

     I found joy and happiness within those times, just raising my children; feelings I did hide.

     Ten years past oh so fast, such love I had inside, even the love from long ago, when I was that nervous Bride.

      Now at Twenty years, yet again, I saw that glint in his eyes, A question of love at this point, came as no surprise!

      Coldly he told me how it had been, ten years prior he had a friend. The tears welled up, I already knew, but had closed my eyes cause I didn't know what to do!

      I had been alone since day one, raising my children and trying to have fun! Now so scared, what have I done?
 
      I prayed and prayed each and everyday that God would continue to help me stay!
     I asked for patience and a forgiving heart, and somehow It came, but missing some parts.

     I forgave and began anew but still could not forget, what was I to do?

     My heart became saddened and I cried all the time my health became bad, I was loosing my mind.

     I began to think what I had done? Lost myself when I began to run!


     The joys of motherhood, the love of your child, I know now were only enough for a little while!

     I had forgotten the person I left behind, who Liked poetry, music and love of all kinds.

     The person who found joy in all that was living and always had a heart that was kind and forgiving!

     I searched again down deep inside and struggled and struggled to not run and hide!

     Then one day, when searching for me, I bumped into you, and do you know what I seen?

     It’s me shining back from your beautiful eyes, not a glint of doubt or bitter surprise!

     A Reflection of me, in the love from your eyes! Oh My God, I thank you, for my heart and soul had survived!

     You Love me, you need me and treat me so kind, you have nurtured my soul my spirit my mind!
 
     YOU hold me close with words so warm, enrapturing me and keeping me from harm.

     I have given you my love and am betrothed to you forever in our hearts we both know our love will never end, "never!"
 
     I love you my Darling, so I'll keep praying, that the strength of our love will ease tears and the pain.

     So this is what, I do now see, you and I have created our world and set our hearts free!
