It really does look like a swallow! I love swallows, we have them here by the tons. They are very cool and can get ptreyyi brave and come very close to you. Hummingbirds get used to you also and will actually come and sit right at or around your shoulders and body if you remain pretty still. I love birds!!!!.....Karen

It is a raptor or some type IF it is a bird because the eyes are faced forward. BUT I dount think it is a bird. It is a mammalian carnivore. The streamlineing and, above all, the good offices of the emporer in letting us know it was dry, suggest to me a seal. Unless of course Hadrian tried to drown his cat. [xx(]

Jim bob I think you are right, It does look so much more like a seal! I was having trouble with the bird although the only trouble was the beak, it looked like it did not have one. So I was thinking it was an optical illusion with the camera angle! A seal is much better option now that I am looking at it with your eyes. Interesting I did not see that til you said it, now I don't know why I saw anything else!
