Following relativity we exist in a four dimensional 'spacetime' manifold.  Width, length, height and time. And suddenly I realized that I wasn't sure what a black hole describes.

Mass 'bends' SpaceTime, right?

Passing the event horizon there is no way back and the direction, if one can talk about such inside it, for a 'photon' must be 'finite'.

So, presented with a infinite mass, what happens to the three dimensional room inside that event horizon, and time?

From an outside observer that event horizon exists inside our SpaceTime manifold, aka our universe, and with them different densities defining differently sized event horizons and black holes, as observed by their outside.

But inside?

Why do they even stay? Those event horizons? It reminds me more of scarring of our SpaceTime than anything else I can come up with?

Because they all are singularities, something that 'broke down' into 'something / nothing' we can't, and won't, know without passing it ourselves. The only thing we have, the scar.

It's not magical, at least I don't think it to be, those are just laws that our universe seems to build from. There's a logic to them, even though things like singularities, the Big Bang, Black holes, etc is something we have no real description of, except accepting them.

No, I think it's too simple to cover it. Everyone wants something to be done. If you're one of those living in a scifi being a defender you will look to scifi solutions, geoengineerings, 'new tech' etc. If you're not you will search for other solutions, but none of you will be ready to sacrifice your own living standards for it.
