I point out there is not the slightest shred of laboratory evidence either for or against the existence of souls. And therefore, the belief in the non-existence of souls---the current consensus belief of scientists---is an act of the purest faith, a faith so blind and pure it would turn any creationist pea-green with envy.
"What is the essence of the power technology has given us?" Stone-Cold Genius asked. "The ability of one to massacre millions at the push of a button. All hail mighty technology, savior of Mankind! Now one man can kill another man with a finger's barest twitch on a trigger."
"The greatest scientific geniuses in all of history have assured us souls don’t exist."
.....You're right. Science cannot prove or disprove the existance of the 'soul'.Science has blood on its hands...... right again, so does religion.Thank you very much.NEXT ......
Apologies for not reading your post. Without giving too much away, your ego or your soul drives you to recreate an allegory of the pattern it picked up in the womb. If you were female you would become at one (pronounced atone) with the universe by forming a network of relationships. As a male you can only try to control or destroy it (the ultimate control). This guilt for being cast out of the womb, (it must be your fault. Who else?) will drive you to get through your life. Call it soul, or ego. Religions make a fortune on this stuff.
Animals don't really have wants, they do what they have to do. That's why its called instinct. Ego is just a way of leveraging that process up a notch. You have to do something, but you don't know what or why. You had food, shelter and were at one with the womb. Consciousness is just a leveraging of that pattern.
