Please help with my science fair project
« on: 15/12/2011 21:49:45 »
My name is Serena Nicoll. I am doing a science project investigating how students from different types of schools understand conservation of mass and volume. I am asking for your help in two ways.
First, can you and your children ages 9 and older please take a survey? To fill out the survey, please visit newbielink:https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/L77RJKX [nonactive] .
Second, can you please share this post so that everyone will see it? I am trying to get as many people from around the world to take this survey as possible. If everyone takes the survey and tells their friends, I will have a really great study! Thank you so much for your support!

Serena,

Links to offsite resources (other than documenting or referring to sources of information) are generally frowned upon here, as well as having similar posts linked to dozens of different websites.

This is "science related".  We'll see what the moderators choose to do.

Is this your project?

The link above takes one to notes about the University of Nebraska Institutional Review Board, as well as an e-mail to alexnicoll.  It does not appear to be written by a K-12 student.

The similar post on Amazon is written in first-person, and says that you are 12.  However, it was not written by a 12 yr old.  Oddly, the Amazon post claiming to be a 12 yr old was written with the username Dr. Gayle Nicoll.  Your user name here, claiming to be Serena Nicoll is "gnicoll".

Serena, are you really twelve?
Wanting to be a doctor is no crime though :)

But I have to agree with Clifford there, it's a very ambitious project, and you've made a lot of effort advertising it.
Very impressive. But not what I normally would expect from a twelve year old :)

And Montessori since eighteen months?
