Erhmm...the sky is green, the lake reflection is orange and the moon is way too big ?  [;)]

Ok, I presume the colors were doctored a bit...  Or, it was a painting, I'm not quite sure.  One can get some quite brilliant red sunset colors.  However, you're right that you would anticipate to see the same sunset colors in the sky as the lake.  I'll post a "reflections" photo that I took this summer later.

Anyway, you are still missing something....

If it were a real sunset-moon combo, (which it definitely isn't), the illuminated crescent should be on the lower limb of the moon, not the upper, e.g. ... http://www.astronet.ru/db/xware/msg/1225606

Excellent.
It is all a matter of perspective.  As the sun drops over the horizon, and the moon is visible in the sky, the sun would be illuminating the moon from the "bottom".

If, of course, the sun and moon were on the opposite side of the planet, so the sun would be setting behind the viewer in the image, then one would get a nearly full moon.
