Very interesting.

I can understand why many deep sea critters are related, as temperatures and pressures may be similar around the globe.

It is a good question though, if a species depends on warmth and the minerals from hydrothermal vents, how far can the species spread between vents to arrive at the next one?  Obviously there would likely be some method to at least make short hops between vents.
