Let me begin with the somewhat odd effects of the all mighty tesla coil, With this device you can do many things such as.

-wirelessly transmit electricity-

-make wicked lightning music-
-make electron winds-

And a whole host of different and powerful crazy stuff. But as most of us know, the dang thing is incomplete, The inventor Nicola Tesla was unable to see his invention completed because of greedy monopoly punks such as J.P. Morgan.

As the old story goes, Nicola tesla somehow invented a way to make wireless electricity broadcast through the air like radio waves but J.P. Morgan cut off ole Nicola's finances, Burned down his lab and destroyed his wireless electricity tower before it's completion.

I Believe that as scientists, we can not allow such an amazing part of history to remain history. I believe that as moral people, we can not allow such treacherous, immoral, greedy people to win. It is our responsibility to see that Nicola Tesla's technology is realized in modern society. It is up to us, we can not sit back and expect others to do this work for us because we simply can't rely on the industrial military complex to do such a selfless act.  If we do nothing then we will never see it done, If we don't act then we can only blame ourselves for what the future may become without us.

I don't ask much of you, the reader of this message.  I merely ask for your ingenious minds to  assist me in my quest to see all men rich or poor have as much power as they need, not only to survive but to thrive.

On this website, on the very spot you sit right now. You have the ability to, at the very least put your 2 cents in. If you can do this then I would be grateful.

On this website I want to gather up minds to do a serious internet investigation of  the concept of wireless electricity, imagine for a moment that you could have power delivered to your devices and machines like a wifi field.  Imagine the wealth and supreme fame which you could have if you invented this or at least helped invent it.
Many of you Know much of the laws of nature and weather you think you can or can not archive this feet, know that you can at least try.

I personally have a theory, concerning the wave lengths of light.  The tesla coil transmits power through the principle of "electro magnetic" induction and light as most of us know is an "electro magnetic" wave. Perhaps electro magnetic induction can be archived through waves of light.

Maybe i'm wrong, What if the tesla tower was literally just a big tesla coil and it would not transmit power very far at all, what if it was just so that Nicola could wirelessly power his house. He "and only he" would get that wireless power, it would make sense, that tower was quite large, and he did put that thing pretty close to that house, all he would have to do is connect pancake coils to light bulbs or other devices like that and hang them on his walls.  the large tesla coil could give that house wireless electricity and each device could still be turned off or on with a flip of a switch.  Ill bet that J.P. Morgan got scared of this idea so he shut it all down, even though it was quite a ridiculous principle without a massive tesla coil on every street corner.

It would work, so that houses wouldn't have to be all wired up, 85% of that power would get to the house and only 15% or so wasted which isn't that bad But it's no super, save the world science ether.

but that's just my idea, it could have been way more powerful the that but what do I know im no Nicola tesla so I can't say for shore if this assumption is correct.

If an inventor came up with something which worked and was an improvement on existing technology ,
 the "military industrial complex" would buy from them it or steal it from them to use themselves.

It sounds like they can achieve about 50% efficiency, and perhaps a few meters of range, which sounds quite good.  Although, if you had a choice between a 100% power transfer efficiency with a 6' extension cord vs 50% for a very complex device...  which would you choose?

Still, there might be a place for such an induction power transfer, for example if you wished to transmit power between two sealed devices.  For example recharging an implantable medical device such as a pacemaker or internal defibrillator, or even an artificial heart.

I imagine a big ole tesla coil sitting right in the middle of a house, going up 2 stories, high frequency and high voltage but without lightning bolts flying around (not overly charged) if you got a light bulb and put it within 3 feet or so from the device then it would light up.

but if you wanted to have wireless power through out your house then all you would have to do is make a pancake coil to absorb the charge from farther away (the farther you are away the bigger the pancake coil) you would then have long distance power transmission for anything. but it would only go as far as a wifi signal. (not vary far) But it is still quite amazing. even if it was just a very weak voltage you could attach a capacitor or rechargeable battery then transform it to get the correct voltage, and then wham you draw enough power for anything.

Ive only built a small tesla coil and did pancake experiments with LED lights but dispite it's small size you can power the light bulb from quite a distance away. I can only imagine the transmission power of one of them big suckers like the one above Nicola's lab.

... I was thinking about building a "Tesla staff" for Halloween it would take a few 9 volt batteries connected in parallel into a high frequency inverter/oscillator then transform it to high voltage then a spark gap, capacitor and all that ...

Wireless power transmission turns up every decade or so, and most engineers recognise Tesla as a genius who got screwed by Westinghouse, but the problems associated with wireless transmission outweigh any potential benefit. The great thing about wires is they put the power where you want it, not where capricious nature (in the form of rain and stuff) decides.

You might use a Tesla transmitter to toilet-train a kid, but you would end up on the front page and your local director of social services would say "lessons will be learned from this" as he gets his pay rise.

I wonder if a rumor I heard about has any factual basis, apparently Nicola tesla allegedly built or planned to build this.



From what I read about it, it has virtually the same principle as my idea of a UFO, which I talked about in "UFOs... how do they work" post on the new theories page, except it doesn't use a superconducting magnet, instead it uses regular electromagnets.

It apparently uses magnetic fields to protect the pilots from space radiation at the same time it uses jets of gas like neon and electrifies the gas with high voltage, then the electromagnets repel the charged gas at high speed to get space propulsion, but when it goes into the planet's atmosphere to land the craft ionizes the air to get the same effect without use of neon fuel. essentially a supercharged ion thruster propulsion system

the way it was allegedly done was by making a ring of high voltage transformers connect to each other in a loop and induce a charge into them externally to get both the super high voltage to ionize the shell of the ship and to get the magnetic field.



It essentially works on the same principle as my ufo idea, a big magnetic field around the ship, ionize air and then the big magnet repels the air.

the idea works, Ion thruster space ships exist, infact they are one of the best and most efficient space craft out in space right now. Nicola tesla might haveinvented the ion thruster 100 year ago!
