I wonder if bodybuilders become "adrenal-fatigued" due to supraphysiologic doses of testosterone?

B_Jim, in your massive research compilation,  how many POIS cases have been successfully treated with testosterone?

Wow, this nutmeg is making me feel really good.  I usually end up stressed at work today, but the whole day I felt great.  I want to see how this works after an orgasm

Vitamin D results were extremely low

That makes five cases now of low vitamin D!
Make that six cases. My Vitamin D is also extremely low: 18. It should be at least 30.

Quote from: Dave23 on 25/08/2010 19:30:33
i had low vitamin d3 blood results as well .. got it up to 80 with 10000iu of VIt D3 liquid emulsion.
Body wouldnt absorb vit d3 capsules/gels etc

Low vit D comes with the pois territory, from the symptoms I stayed in 99.99% of the time all year no sun so less vit d3 and also less thyroid hormones which Im on armour for hypothyroidism as well.

So does Dave23 make seven cases now of low vitamin D?  They numbers are going up so quickly that I'm losing track!

Perhaps we could have a place (maybe as part of one of B_Jim's summary posts) that links to all the different low-vitamin-D announcement posts.

My pituitary scan revealed nothing.
And did you have a scan for de adrenal glands? Sometimes a cyste on another place is responsible for the high cortisol.

That's true. But don't forget that for instance in the Netherlands almost 50% of the people have low Vitamin D. But it could be something. Dave said that Vitamin D supplements doesn't work for him. Maybe for others too. If so, then it could be something that has to do with POIS and/or bad functioning glands.

I think that more people have succes with Relora. Testosterone as second best.

That's teriffic news. Is there a similar successful case history with a  sustained, dramatic POIS treatment and result as mine - nearly 2 years now - with Relora?

Thanks, Guthrie. I'm not sure yet that vit D insufficiency is any greater here than elsewhere, but maybe B_Jim will want to track?

I think Tarkington has a long term succes with Relora. I sended him a pm but he doesn't react. Maybe you can send him a mail, Demo. You can see his mailadres:

I agree that the number of Vitamin D deficiencies listed here doesn't automatically indicate anything of significance, since the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency in the general population is also pretty high.

However, I don't recall anyone posting to our board to say that they'd been tested for Vitamin D and had the results come back as normal.  So if there are some normal vitamin-D folks among us, please post to let us know!

Furthermore, part of the frustrating part about POIS is that there hasn't seemed to be any consistent indications of abnormalities in lab results.  However, since vitamin D deficiency has been reported a number of times, it seems like it could be something to pursue--even though we'd need more data to say anything conclusive.

Feel free to send him a PM, Vandemolen, it will be sent to his email. We haven't heard from him since January, 2009. Some people reported absolutely no effect with Relora.

But all that proves is that POIS seems to be anything but uniform!

Have we heard from B_Jim if there is an interest in pursuing this?

Guthrie, you're right, very frustrating that  POIS has so FEW consistencies (none in the lab!?!),  that maybe vitamin D (and anything else that comes up repeatedly) could be worth pursuing.

Thanks to you and anyone else who has pursued this.

My cortisol is normal. I didn't go into more depth as soon as I found dramatic POIS relief with testosterone + stimulants.

Vandemolen, you suggested that I write to Dr Paul Musarella, Netherlands. He wrote back that he's booked till February, 2011, and asks "what would we expect of him?" Do you think he's a good match for us to pursue for POIS research?
