Fenugreek has liver protective properties. Turmeric is a gud liver protectant.i ll be checking out herbs used for hormone balancing and herbs good for live By the way fenugreek+ginseng+sulbutiamine+gingko biloba+optimen tabs hav an enormous improvement in pois and i am O ing daily.the only thing am concerned is whether fenugreek's effect will last or if i might build up some sort of tolerance.Hi afghan666,Good to hear that fenugreek (amongst other things) is helping you with your POIS. I have been taking it daily myself for a long time now, and it is the best way I have found so far to minimise my POIS symptoms. I don't think I have built up a tolerance to it, but everybody's body is different. Interesting to hear that it helps to protect the liver.

It has been tested by scientists that low levels pf dopamine causes depression, loss of focus,Adhd and parkinson disease. After an O ,our body is depleted of dopamine which also results in high prolactin levels.prolactin is a sex and dopamine inhibiting hormone....after an O the body signals the release of prolactin as the natural process of mating is job done. But in pois sufferer the prolactin is released in far greater amounts thus it affects our focus, causes depression,ADHD,etc.the abnormal release might be an organ insuffiency e.g kidney, liver, thyroid or adrenal gland. For more evidence please google out ''effects of low levels of dopamine''...i m using android handy...other wise i wud had sent the links....Am trying to put a piece in the puzzle...it might be one secondary or may be tertiary effects in the pois complex.... Daveman is right...i agree...I was convinced for a long time that low levels of dopamine were responsible for my POIS - during the last few years I have used Selegiline, L-Tyrosine, and Bupropion extensively (not all at the same time []), and I have also tried cabergoline.None of these drugs felt like they were fighting my POIS symptoms, and did little to alleviate them. I'm not saying that dopamine does not play a key part in POIS - the whole prolactin/dopamine reaction seems like an excellent way to rationalise why POIS happens, but I personally have had no luck exploring this avenue.

I guess the positive effects of fenugreek will not be fading anytime soon progresterone has helped alleviate pois symptoms of a member in our forum. progresterone is estrogen and i guess its used for women's problms. fenugreek too has estrogens and steroidal compounds.i m trying to find similar herbs.may be a combo of fenugreek and another (hormone regulating herb) could increase improvement.
I have just bought fengreek, let's give it a trial ! I will aslo start the "Silodosin cure" soon, under my doctor advice, of course
I looked all over for Fenugreek today and couldnt find it anywhere. I got 2 more places to check. But I did start Ginseng Complext today and can tell some difference already. Really looking forward to the Fenugreek, anything to help with symptoms until a cure comes along! Anybody Tried Milk Thistle? Bought some but havent tried it yet. Kinda wanted to se what the Ginseng was gonna do. Ive only had 1 half a dose and so far im liking it.

Good feedback Counterpoints, thanks. Finding consistent symptom patterns with POIS sufferers is difficult!

Normally we don't notice much if there is pre-ejaculate or not, just that we stopped before.I'm in the category that doesn't get a reaction, at worst lovers-nuts which is even normal for non-POISers. But at one point a began to doubt, or thought that I was developing a sensitivity to no-"O" masturbation. But in the end it was something else. So it complicates even further. So many variables.Anyways, with or without pre-ejaculate I'm OK. I'm also in the category that has fewer mental effects.

I tried an O after taking a one-off 8mg dosage of Silodosin. The first 5 or 6 "spasms" of ejaculation were completely dry - the last one contained some semen, unfortunately for me.I see 2 ways to proceed here - one is for me to up the dosage of Silodosin for "one-off" use and see if that has any impact. The other is to repeat my tests with 8mg per day for 3 days before O and see if it stops ejaculation again.I started taking off taking a couple of capsules of fenugreek and then having an O about an hour later, then taking some more. I started off having practically no POIS symptoms at all for a couple of weeks, then the POIS symptoms began to return periodically, although they were much less severe than before - this is still true today.I should mention that I now take fenugreek every day, POIS or not - it always has a positive social effect on me, and is pretty cheap now that I mix my own []
