Quite amazing that for me it takes so many years to accurately describe [POIS] symptoms.

This is why we had the question 'can you think of an analogy to describe your symptoms?' on the old questionnaire. The several descriptions I've read here about feeling as if we were still 'in sex' I found very interesting... It's as though the neurochemical chain of events following (or during) orgasm never reaches completion -- leaving us symptomatic. This could also explain why the intensity of symptoms varies from orgasm to orgasm, and why a subsequent orgasm may help alleviate symptoms on occasion.Based on what I've read here, I think this theory (incomplete orgasm), although not well developed, is competitive with (or possibly complimentary to?) the autoimmune theory.
Interesting KCsignman. And quite amazing that for me it takes so many years to accurately describe symptoms. Just a few years ago I realized it gets to my lungs that much. So now I know stomache, brains and lungs are most affected. I am also getting more and more convinced allergy is key and that it is all inflammation. The thirst also fits in the allergy proposition. Apart from the big culprit (semen), starting to eat gluten free, lactose free and taking supplements to control histamines also has made a big difference in day to day life over the last few months. Good luck mate.
Cab771 : How do you ejaculate without orgasm? Any particular technique?
Quote from: cab771 on 11/03/2011 11:58:24I m under the impression that POIS and CFS are cousins.I'm open to it, but I think that we consensually ruled that out.

Can most of POIS sufferers tolerate really strenuous physical activities? Are there POIS sufferers that are top athletes, involved in triathlon, marathons, competitive strength training, whatever? If not, then I'm not sure we can rule out the link.
I went through many posts. Some reputable posters said that male multiple orgasm techniques (dry orgasms) had been mastered and used, but had no success with POIS. This information contradicts the new semen theory.
Strenuous physical activity lowers testosterone.
Overtraining, which is something certain athletes experience from time to time, is quite similar to POIS.
CSF, POIS and post-exertion malaise have very very similar symptoms.

Good luck mate.Yeah, I think there's a couple of reasons that it's so hard to describe POIS!!First, when we're in POIS, we're too mind screwed (for lack of a better word) to be able to spit out how we feel. When we're out of POIS we're not connected to the source anymore and the detail is lost.
Unless others here are inclined to pursue this line of thinking above (please post your support or negation), let's just drop it and tackle the more promising POIS theories.Thank you for your cooperation.
Daveman, Strenuous physical activity lowers testosterone.Overtraining, which is something certain athletes experience from time to time, is quite similar to POIS.CSF, POIS and post-exertion malaise have very very similar symptoms. This is not indicative of an typical allergy. I've never heard of any allergy that had such a symptomatology. Since very few people can separate ejaculation from orgasm, it's hard to prove that semen rather than orgasm is the culprit.I went through many posts. Some reputable posters said that male multiple orgasm techniques (dry orgasms) had been mastered and used, but had no success with POIS. This information contradicts the new semen theory.
Demografx,If it were due to a semen allergy, people would not have been able to lessen the severity of the symtpoms by taking testosterone, other drugs and various supplements.
You have a disorder, and it seems as though it's a rare disorder like ours. In that respect I wish you all the help in the world. I hope that we may help, its terrible not to have a place to speak. But we also need to process POIS, and focus in our solution.Thanks.
