Episodes are very nasty and can last from 4 to 15 days.I've managed to ejaculate without orgasm very quickly, resulting in no POIS. I have to empty the tank once a week or so, otherwise I feel like my prostate is going to burst. I was wondering is someone had considered something as extreme as prostatectomy? I'm confused, we've been talking about "dry orgasm procedures".... I suppose what you meant above is that you have an orgasm without ejaculation.... and no POIS? Which is what one would expect.Or are you able to do both: ejaculation without orgasm and orgasm without ejaculation, neither of which casues POIS.So for you, only orgasm with ejaculation causes POIS?

My POIS treatment success with testosterone has been quite astonishing.

This seems to invalidate the allergy theory.Sigh. The allergy theory is not necessarily for _everyone_ !Read through the forum and you'll see how many incredible varieties of POIS exist!"One size does NOT fit all!"I spent a lot of time reading posts and sufferer's symptom lists. Are you sure there're different types of POIS or different ways to trigger POIS in people? I'm inclined to think there's just one POIS type because the symptoms experienced by all the sufferers are very very similar. The symptomatology is very precise and consistent.

We're going in circles now. I will now pass on that redundant question entirely, and invite discussion about Japan, or the weather in your city. []
Unless others here are inclined to pursue this line of thinking above (please post your support or negation), let's just drop it and tackle the more promising POIS theories.Thank you for your cooperation.

That doesn't make any sense. I've always favored the endocrinological explainations over those that involved an auto-immune reaction (in the past), but saying that it is impossible to lessen the symptoms of an allergic reaction is absurd.Lessening allergic symptoms with drugs like testosterone, silidosin, SSRI, supplements like fenugreek, vitamins. Interesting. I didn't know. There're specific drugs that work well on allergic reaction, ranging from antihistamine, to cortisone. If POIS is an allergy, why don't they work?

And there are no doctors and reasearchers that are lining up at our door that we can confuse with multiple theories. We cant just Tell him his situation is different and drop it, he has both pois and exersecise induced symptoms similar to pois, which is interesting because some chemicals are both active in Orgasm and exercises(that should be interesting to look at.)Semen allergy has not been proven to be the case for everyone. This has been proven by habibou, who didnt react to semen test and the four people in dr waldingers paper who also didnt react. And there are several of us who get pois without ejaculation. I for example get it by just dreaming about "fun" and limejuice also noted this happening to him, but it has not been proven that some semen gets goes into my urethra because of the dreams, so that leaves a lot of question. Semen allergy shouldnt just dominate our disscusions. I dont see why we keep dismissing chronic fatigue, new reasearch shows that it is caused by the xrmv virus. And we all know the immune system deals with viruses, and according dr waldingers reasearch our immune system is going haywire because of semen. Both pois and CFC obviously have similar symptoms. So if we have given CFC more chance, it will have produced half the story on pois according to dr waldingers reasearch.

One size doesn't fit all sounds really just like an excuse for anyone who has his own theory on this forum and questionable success. Feeling better just doesn't cut it anymore. Proposed theories are just too hard to disprove or prove. Either there is someone cured or not. Are/were there any POIS "cured" people who can orgasm and ejaculate like a normal person??Ejaculating without POIS and orgasming without POIS sounds way better than "I feel much better".
You really should read Dr. Waldinger's reports in detail and understand what he is saying.

Demografx,Why would an allergy affect testosterone production?Hypogonadal men do not experience POIS symptoms. Why would testosterone alleviates POIS symptoms?
Quote from: Counterpoints on 22/01/2011 05:37:56Stefanie, no! It could very well have something to do with endocrinology (even if Waldinger is mostly right). We cannot be black and white about things. Also, although Waldinger is doing good science, his findings are not the final word. They are still preliminary, and there are many unanswered questions. POIS is not solved. More research must be done!Maybe the allergic reaction constricts the vessels which contain hormones causing imbalance.
