Huh. Well, I just ran into this forum, after feeling kinda pissed at how crappy I feel, and lo! I'm not making it up... but there's not much I can do about it either? Hmmm... tough scenario.I always described the way I feel after orgasm as "depression and moderate flu-like symptoms", so this definitely seems to be the place. I read the first few pages, and one thing I didn't see reference to is that with successive orgasms, the feeling becomes exponentially worse; once every two-three days is pretty bearable, every day is bad, and twice a day would land me in the hospital. I guess that's milder than most of the symptoms described here.I have terrible allergies to just about everything, so I find the hypothesis that an auto-immune issue may be involved really fascinating. I don't believe testosterone has any effect, as my sex drive is pretty much the *only* thing still in tact while I'm feeling crappy. Like some kind of demonic temptation...Would love to figure out who the heck to talk to for more info. Never got anything out of the doctors.

My BEST is once per week! We've got a database with references to POIS assistance. It's still relatively new and so isn't that big yet, but the ones that are there are like "Primary Sources" that could maybe refer you to more local ones. Sorry that it's not more extensive yet, but that will come with a bit more time.Besides that there are medical papers issued and other information that I'm sure Demografx (a site moderator) will send you very shortly. This will help you approach doctors about your problem. The response by doctors is very lacking and even with the papers and support, they are incredibly stubborn, but it can help.We have to be firm with them and any support we can bring helps. After all, how do they expect us to pay them if we go in with EVERYTHING laid out and they say no!the database is at newbielink:http://72.52.181.21/collaborator_list.php [nonactive] scroll down past the form to the database. And well, stick around. There'll be lots of help here!
GoingCrazy, print out ALL the POIS info we have, make a nice binder, with a label in the middle: Prepared Lovingly For Mom and Dad ***PLEASE***READ! Even if they PEEK at it, you'll be ahead of the game!
There have been tests here of "just about everything". Maybe not all scientific, but lots of differenig results. Prednisone has been one of them. Demo(grafx) will show you how to do searches to find stuff we've already covered. Might save you some grief. In some of these maladies there are similar symptoms. It's so hard to identify one from the other at times.Doctors tell us we have whatever other thing, rather than POIS because they don't have any idea.We have to, and are going to take control of this thing..... stick around! If you were irritable, tired, anxious, headache, etc. for a few days, than I'd consider it POIS. But still possible.
I just installed an SMF forum (like this one) for testing, and am evaluating it for configurability. It seems it can do what we need.I'll also be including virtual offices where private treatment could at some time be coordinated.
Today I started with the desensitization. There was more semen injected than when I had the skin pr.ick test. And the red spot was very big in the first minutes. I took a picture after 25 minutes. I will post this later. My arm hurts because of the injection. It's like I lifted to much weight at the gym. My muscles hurts a very much.About 7 weeks I will have a second injection. Normally it would be done after 4 weeks, but because of my holiday it's about 7 weeks. The doctor said that it's not a good idea to have this injection when you go to a far country. I asked about rush desensitization. The doctor said that the risks are still very high. And that normal desensitization is better for the long term. Sometimes you have to do the desensitization after a few years again. The doctor said rush desensitization is a possible for POIS-patients but then there must be more POIS-patients who do the desensitization. The doctor also said that it is better to do research to which substance in the semen causes an allergic reaction. Then they can make this synthetic and then you don't have to have an ejaculation every time before the desensitization. The doctor said this research must be done by academic hospitals and costs a lot of money.
