Every day before breakfast and lunch, 1x57g capsule of Taurine and magnesium 900mg with a bit of water (room temp),

Taurine is the KEY of my Pois. It makes a HUGE difference.
It's like if taurine is "pumped" after ejaclation to "regenerate" something (testosterone ? semen ?).

But you made a mistake in dose, 1x57g is not correct ;)

Hi B_Jim

Thanks for your feedback
What do you mean with dose not being correct? With my experiment here I am trying with one capsule of "57g" before breakfast and one before lunch. Do you recommend me to take more? Or are you perhaps only taking “?dosage” immediately before or after O

extra: another look at my stuff its actually 500mg per capsule I'm taking (my mistake)
probably taking more than enough or even too much for starters

just found one of your old posts

Thanks on advance

Hi guys , my pois has been greatly reduced in the recent years. I didnt tried any medicine . But have been on Abstinence for more than 45 days or even more sometimes . I really fear the symptoms of pois... dont want them to come again . so most of the times i used to be on no Orgsm.  After been on no Org. for quite a long time , when i do masturbation.... pois effects are very less .( reduced by more than 40%). But again, within one week if i had O, pois symptoms come back . (not very intense though...)

ALSO, IF I REDUCE THE STIMULATION DURING  O , POIS EFFECTS WILL BE VERY VERY LESS .(10-15%) (particularly brain fog and depression is reduced). perhaps it is the excessive stimulation that is increasing the severity of pois .

presently symptoms include low self esteem , fatigue(moderate) , loss of enthusiasm(high) , memory loss(moderate), sweating.

What is your age if I can ask?
Have you experienced any other difficulties or pain’s (eg. in head or chest,etc...) when you able to abstain?

Hi 4everfogged ,

I am 28 now  and have been suffering from pois since puberty . only recently(2-3yrs back) discovered that i have pois .
While on Abstinence , although i do not experience  pain in chest or head....... but there will be high pressure on eyes (as if it were about to blown out ) and in head too .
Also, my muscle mass will improve and i will look little bit fat (Basically I am skinny person) .

But the moment I ejaculate that all that pressure will vanish and will feel light headed . Also, my body will shrink
itself and will become very lean .

Maybe without realising you eventually get emissions at some point when you abstain. When I abstain I've had it that in the morning when I urinate as 1st thing, I can feel emission sensation and shortly after I can feel pressure behind eyes & eyebrows. From that point on I'm in trouble again.

hi there,

i have the same symptoms like most of you describe here aswell.
iam 26 now, and i remember back pain at the age of 14, each time i masturbated.

at the age around 20 i also started to get extremely fatiqued after each orgasm. i have sweat attacks and a high pressure in my head. my eyes also feel extremely heavy.
i have chronic cold feet and a mild chronic cold all the time, as long as i regulary orgasm.

iam addicted to masturbation since iam 13.
porn is the only thing that turned me on for a long time. i never had real interests in real women. at the age around 13-18 i fapped daily.
the back pain was there most of the time but the other symptons were not so strong these times.

however i got depressions and wasnt in a really healthy state. i got several infections like 'lnfectious mononucleosis', but nothing too serious.

i started to try to abstain from porn when i was 18 years and failed many years. however i limited my masturbation frequency to 3-7 days. then 7-14 days until now 20-30 days. (this process took me 8 years).
i just recently found out about pois. before that i always thought, that i fapped too much in my life, abused my body and should stop it.

since iam 22-23 i dont suffer from depressions any more. overall iam doing good in life. fapping wasnt my only problem, but reducing it helped me very much in all aspects of life.
it was (and sometimes is) hard to wrap my around, that women arent an option for me. i have an ok-face and a ripped body (exercise regulary). i think i can look appealing to women, however, never tried it.

i adapted a lot of the buddishm mindset to not feel bad about the abstinence of love, romantics and sex and it really helped me. i generally consider myself lucky nowadays, that i never had any of these experiences, so iam not attached to them.

however iam attached to pornographic pictures. no videos, because they dont allow as much of imagination as pictures. as i said above i still look at them every 26 days. sometimes sooner, sometimes later, but thats the average from the last 2 years (i tracked it).

reducing masturbation really lowers my pois. after an orgasm after 30 days of abstinence i barely have any symptoms at all. however i have a lot of tension in my body after it and often be awake the whole night then without any signs of fatique (basically the extrem opposite of pois then.. also not desirable).

due to my fap-addiction i am unable to regulate my masturbation behaviour to a healthy frequence (once a month or so..).
only the 'quit forever'-mindset works for me.
as soon as i give greenlight to masturbation i quickly fall back into a 3-times-a-day behaviour.

overall, my masturbation/sexual behaviour has never felt natural to me. masturbating to pictures always felt wrong and i felt strong guilt most of the time. the followed pois always amplified my bad emotions about sex/masturbation.
thanks to buddhism i learned to not feel guilty about me anymore and accepted my cravings as part of me. further, discover them as source of suffering and realize that its better to not gave into the cravings.

i can definitely say, that i am more happy the longer i abstain from my cravings.

i could write a lot more about that topic, it think about it daily, but i am not sure how much of interest my personal story from a scientific view is.
i cant contribute much to cure pois, except abstaining from all sexual activites forever. i tried things, like doing a lot of sport (as i said iam excercising and running half marathons regulary), a healthy died (noticed no changes overall regarding pois) or avoidoing ejaculation during orgasm (doesnt helped).

what i recommend is the nofap-community on reddit (very supportive community). but beware that their main goal is, to stay away from porn and masturbation to be able to live in healthy relationships. as far as my imagination goes a healthy relationship with a partner is barely possible with pois.

also, i recommend buddhism. iam there and i like it. the concepts really feel like a good way to go, to live a happy life. however i have doubts about the whole rebirth concept. to get started you could watch the 'ask a monk'-videos on youtube.

have a nice day,

ricklus

Hi ricklus

Thanks for sharing your situation, I'm sure many can relate. I'm glad that at least you have found your own method to cope. You've obviously mastered the current medical physician practises, as you know most of them unfortunatley don't know about POIS and would tell you that it's all in your mind. I think the more understanding one has of one's situation, the easier it should be for oneself, especially as you get older. Age sure makes it increasingly more difficult and having a good understanding of it asap can save you a lot of agony. I think a lot of stress and anxiety can be prevented which can prevent complications later on.

I think that even though you think that your situation might not help in a scientific point of view, every POIS victim that describes his symptoms, situation, etc. is beneficial in raising the awareness. The more people that confirm their illness here as well as with the Professor’s the more chance we have in our goal of finding a cure because the numbers play a big role. It does not feel fair but that's how the system works. If tomorrow they realise that there is an illness where there are 1000's of sufferers then the interest in resolving their problem gets the importance raised immediately. So I most certainly encourage people like you to come forward posting themselves.
Lets hope a cure is found, but thank goodness that Waldinger got this started...

I haven't posted in a while bc i get frustrated with how dysfunctional this place is.  It's been about 4 yrs since I initially came across this site.  Over this time period I've tried about everything.  I got better for a 3 month period in 2013 with mineral balancing and hair testing, but pois returned and I haven't been successful in escaping its grip since then.

There's only 1 thing I can resolutely say helps me, and that's reducing the frequency of Os.  The easiest way to do this is to avoid scanning provocative pictures on a daily basis, and when you do masturbate, use your memory only.  Your pois will be lighter without the visual porn aid, but not only that, after the deed you'll likely be able to then push sex out of your mind for a few days.  With porn, you'll often be horny 20mins later and the next couple days are especially difficult to abstain.

I came across this article on the BBC website but am unable to add a comment. Perhaps it's becausse I'm not living in the United Kingdom. Perhaps somebody living in the UK could do it.

I wanted to add the following: Ever given a thought about people living with (POIS) Post Orgasmic Illness Syndrome? It's an illness with exasperating symptoms that usually appear shortly after an orgasm. These people, mainly men tend to abstain as much as possible, though for some, abstaining leads to other difficulties and symptoms. It's only been identified since 2002 by Professor Marcel Waldinger and very few doctors still know about it till this day. Research is currently in progress. Though the small-scale funding is making it a slow progress while these men are desperately waiting for a cure. These people usually face many difficulties in there lives such as with their studies, career, relationships (divorce), just to name a few.

The webpage is named as "What is a life without sex like?"

Thanks

Its about four months I not updated to the forum. As explained in earlier post in Jan month I was cured only 75% from POI's and I updated that I was expecting 100% cure in next two months from doing exercise. However it took me me four months for 100% cure from pois and now I am fully 200% Pois free person. There was no response for the technique I shared to the forum. No problem. However I wanto tell guys, spent lakhs of bucks to find out what was the reason for my pois and sharing the forum how I cured from the POIs. In India as I shared around year ago i with my doctor started identifying people with symptoms of POis through local media and found many people whobr not aware of their POI's and taking treatment under different illnesses. Actually we r not having pois
It is different illness and it is triggering for orgasm. I will tell dimple procedure for the forum and it may cost u only 2$ and may be 2 min of time to check whether my theory is correct. Just by one antacid syrup used for gastritis and pls have one spoon of syrup with water after food in Pois period and see within 1 hour u will find reduction of pois by 25%. I will tell how POI's will reduce in one spoon of antacid syrup once u respond and also I can share in detail what was happened to me and what I done in last six months for compute cure from Pois. This forum helped me in 2011 to understand my POI's and finally I found out my POI's reason. I want other members to be cured asap. Pls respond to my above which cost u only 2$.

Hi POIS Friends

Why do I struggle so much with pains in chest and sometimes in abdominal? During day I have tension in chest, which I can cope with to a certain degree but at night this does not allow me to rest properly and seems to regularly intensify making it difficult to get out of bed in the morning and makes me feel exhausted during the day or I must just stay in bed till I feel I had sufficient rest. Minimum 9 to 10 hours in bed (Because pain keeps waking me up). But if I have one orgasm for let’s say 3 consecutive days it will gradually reduce or make the pain in chest more bearable or make it completely go away. But then obviously I'm sitting with all the cognitive symptoms, living like a zombie and not feeling like wanting to talk much with people, etc.  When I try breathing exercises or do some walking for about 1,5h - 2h every day it will help a bit. If I do strenuous exercise then night time is extremely difficult for me (Full of adrenalin). After the orgasm I then abstain again and the chest pain will gradually build up again.

It's like as if it's a choice that I must make; live like a mental zombie or live with this agonizing pain in my chest. Every so often there is stress that gets added to all this. Making my day’s pretty awful.

Sometimes I wonder if there is not an evolution with POIS taking place. When I was in my 30's I cannot remember ever getting pains in chest to this degree. When I'd abstain in my 30's I would rather have pressure building up in my ear that would slowly become unbearable over time.

I must also mention that while abstaining I every so often know that I sometimes get nocturnal emissions. As soon as I realise I have mental fogginess building up and notice that I struggle to do some calculating/thinking work then I realise it happened. My cognitive recovery period from emission is shorter though (1,5 to 2 days).

What to do about my chest pains?

hi nathan123. i'm still following your thread. by now i'm first day of my pois. i did the matsyendrasana the one you suggest after an o. it does work. i feel warm in my soles of my feet and alleviates my mood from deppression. i've been searching some other yoga postures from u-tube and found yoga for improving sex life. there i discover some postures such as viprit karni mudra, halasana, ustasana, and suryanamaskar. what yoga does for me is that it warms my body, lessens my depression, and headache. i hope you share the proper procedure for postures and some postures that i miss. i really appreciate your sincerity for helping other poisers.

This is what he told me in 2014, maybe things have changed. I personally don't have have any specific thought of what causes POIS, there's probably no set in stone cause for everyone imo.
I just thought I'd comment on something that, from the info I've got from Kurtosis is wrong, maybe things have changed and I'd be very interested in seeing that information.

For those who followed my story, I made a dumb yet important discovery.  [:(!]

I was having brain fog and fatigue all daytime and could only ejaculate at night to evade POIS. The problem was melatonin (causes autoimmunity and fatigue in some cases), the sleep aid I used to fix the insomnia caused by elevated Testosterone at night due to TRT (note that testosterone is low at night when regulated by natural production). I have lowered the dose and I am 45% more functional, yet I struggle with insomnia because all sleep aids that work (drugs and melatonin) have nasty cognition impairing side effects.

Exploring my sexuality I discovered that my circumcision at birth made my penis 100% numb, I have no pleasure whatsoever, yes I am serious, sex turned out to be pointless. All women I came across were self conceited monsters that only saw me as a utility to exploit. They often abhorred my kindness and love because they see them as weakness, contrary to the media and society that depicts men as soulless beasts and women as sentimental angels .  It seems I am destined to be sexually frustrated all my miserable existence unable to fulfill a basic biological  necessity. I will eventually pursue sex however, because free will is a lie as many of you already know, existence is slavery, the death of governments, religion and all society would only leave one tyrant left, biology. At least normal humans could be happy with that, but I can't.  Note that I still have POIS (reduced, not gone).
Looking back I have always been very frail physically after being vaccinated as a prepubescent child and had prednisone shoved down my throat for an asthma and autoimmune issues vaccines created, when I hit 14 Crohn's came and I took more steps back. Sadly TRT has not fixed that. Months ago I had a chest and forearm injury doing some light stretching that could never injure a normal human being that is almost taking a year to heal. I am now nearly completely incapacitated physically when I was starting to restore my intellect.  I wonder if anyone else here breaks like a twig?

I wanted to die, but can't kill myself because of fear caused by religious indoctrination imposing the fear of after life to be judged by a god with one dimensional morality that is oblivious to context, biology and reason.
I still crave to cease to exist but I have gone one step too far, I want to see if I can overcome this pain, but my resolve falters. Sorry for the rant, I just could not resist.
