Dan has got in touch to ask:

"I have a teenage daughter who is 18 years old.She perspires a lot on her armpits and she becomes uncomfortable and embarrassed. She has tried staying away from spices foods and changed different colognes but the sweating continues.Your help will be highly appreciated."

What do you think?

For most cases, aluminium chlorohydrate in an antiperspirant is sufficient.

Hopefully, you don't have to go this far:

I've gotten to a point in life where I don't worry about it a lot.  Yet, since I ride my bike a lot, I can perspire a lot.

A few things I've done:
  • I tend to carry my wallet in my backpack so that my money doesn't become slimy  :o
  • Not all clothes are created equal.  Cotton tends to show sweat.  Some newer synthetics show it less, and dry out quicker.  Look in the sporting section for "dry fit".  I have found some with a loose weave tend to snag, but there are several good shirts with a tight weave and "dry fit".
  • Pay attention to rain gear.  For cycling, waterproof is good, but one must also have good ventilation (back, pits, etc).  Some of the better cycling jackets have pit zippers to open them up for ventilation when it is warm enough out
  • Cotton Sweat band under the bike helmet
  • I tend to prefer short sleeves in the summer, but for women's clothes, sleeveless is popular.  8)
