Would compulsory mask wearing outside the home be an effective measure?
« on: 02/11/2020 18:18:29 »
The following was sent in by Glyn:

Current measures for reducing/eliminating COVID-19 are not adequately controlling the infection. As it is spread by aerosol and close-ish contact, would compulsory mask wearing outside the home, including education settings, by all over the age of say 5, be a useful and effective measure?

I think it would have a swrious impact. More sellable as those who can't wear a mask must shield. Easier to police too.

Yes, it would work. I don't think it would fly here in the United States, because too many people would shout "muh freedumz!"
