Why do parts of a closed thread disappear?
« on: 24/10/2023 09:23:12 »
This morning I noticed Kryptid had euthanized some rubbish and I tried to say thanks via the drop down box. As soon as I had logged on, most of the final page disappeared and this is not the first time this has happened. Oh well, I'll just have to say it here, THANK YOU Kryptid.

The weird thing is I can still usually see them properly on my phone.

Ok, the final page is visible again but as soon as I log on everything except the first post vanishes. It must be down to my antiquated computer, however it only happens on closed threads, weird. I have been remiss in not thanking you, BC, for your efforts to contain the deluge of nonsense, so THANK YOU.

You're welcome. I kind of feel bad having to do that, since Dave appears to genuinely believe what he says. He probably thinks I'm being terribly unjust to him, but I feel I gave him plenty of fair opportunities to back up his positions with good arguments and evidence. Moderators need to exercise at least some degree of quality control, I think.

Kryptid, you may be correct about Dave, as you have been dealing with his ideas longer than I have been registered on the forum. I however get the distinct impression that he is a contrarian with a mission to debunk accepted science as much as possible. Then again I could be wrong.
