I would like to update and confirm that GINGER kills my pois.Even if i get pois after an O, i am able to have an O later on and "prepare" with ginger and then get away from the pois-state that im in.Ginger is antiinflammatory. It works best if i take it on an empty stomache maybe 15 minutes before an O. I also take it after an O.Home made ginger tea works i believe, raw ginger works, and capsules work.Been a pois-sufferer for at least 10 years. So heres one testimony about GINGER killing pois.Try Ginger capsules, ginger tea, raw ginger (just chew and get that stuff down with water) before an O.Best regards,akt1

Here is a discussion where people have managed to cure their general anxiety with magneisum , vitamin bs and an amino acid complex:Google "Amino Acids and Magnesium cured my Anxietythe guy recommands Taurine + Vitamine D + magnesium, exactly what I think.

(It is difficult to make POIS-specific threads here at the University of Cambridge NSF).
Akt1, I can add that taurine gives me a serious improvement. And taurine has a gaba-like action.
Any word of help about what could help me ease my symptoms?
True Calm:Niacin (as Niacinamide) 45 mg Vitamin B-6 (from Pyridoxine HCI) 8 mg Magnesium (from Magnesium Bisglycinate) 6.5 mg GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) 200 mg Glycine 200 mg Taurine 200 mg Inositol 100 mg Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) (Root) 25 mg
I doubt it's anything to do with gross systemic release of histamine. That is better known as anaphylaxis.
Testosterone patches work for me. I've posted often about it since 2009, so you'll need to do a little digging here. Impossible to summarize in one post.
I never usually post on forums such as these, but such is the profound effect one of the recommendations on here has made on my wellbeing I feel like I should. My back story is that I've been suffering from POIS ever since I started masturbating, about 7 years now as a 22 year old and constantly felt frustration at how it created almost a black mirror of my personality. The symptoms were mental: brain fog for days, general fatigue and that lack of mental sharpness which has really effected my ability to socialise at what I would regard as my 'best self'. Firstly, I identified the No Fap community as one which tried to address the issue and made me realise that their are many like minded individuals suffering through the same experience. It helped me understand that it was not simply an issue attached to myself. But the only common solution was as the name sake suggests 'No Fapping', no orgasm and since the ultimate aim is to be with a partner having fun without worrying about the effects of an orgasm, it felt like a counter intuitive plaster over the problem that could not solve much. That being said, I persevered, creating like others have done a schedule of orgasms based around my schedule, preluding an exam period I had enough incentive to go cold turkey for those times and my exams results have been substantially better that what they would have been based on this intervention.Yet, I know I needed to address the true root of the cause of the problem, obviously the issue has limited public exposure but from stumbling across this forum I thought I would see if there any promising suggestions. Now I must say I study economics, I'm far from scientific so I don't completely understand the neurological effects going on in my brain by any means post orgasm. What I do know though is that after seeing two people helped by taking ginger around the period of orgasm I decided to have a ginger tea pre-orgasm and post-orgasm to see what impact it had on my mental state. The effects have been profound. Usually I feel lethargic for days following two orgasms in two days, their is no possible way in which I can feel positive socialising in that period, I fall into a discontent state and berate myself for making the decision to orgasm. However, in the last week, I feel no different following an orgasm, my mental state quickly recovers and I can talk to friends just as I would pre-orgasm. I can't tell you how elated that makes me feel, it's a life changing insight. It's early days but I now see a future where I can have sex with a partner as much as I want and completely enjoy the experience. Wanted to post here to give more strength to the 'ginger' fire, the more exposure and the more people try it out themselves, the more it may help many POIS sufferers. Thanks for reading.
