Evidence base shampoo!

I wondered if anyone could help me, its a bit of a strange one but I need some advice.. I am having some problems with a lady who shares the house I am living in. She seems to have a few problems, and to cut a long story short has been harassing me by keeping me awake at night, moving my things and now I think she has tampered with my shampoo, shower gell etc I left in the bathroom.[:0]
Is there any way to find out if, for example bleach has been added to shampoo? It smells slightly different and I've has skin irritatons which is why I have come to this extreme conclusion! I am thinking about using pH paper but haven't been able to find any...

Why not throw out that bottle, buy a new one then keep it in your room and just bring it to the bathroom to wash your hair with it when you have a shower? [

Yuck! How 'bout finding a new roommate? You sure don't need that kind of toxic energy around you. What would concern me the most is that she (presumably) does sneaky things rather than confront you with the real issues.

You could make a complaint to the police and ask them to test it, but that's a fairly serious path to take, and if you take it, you'll also be looking for a new house or housemate because I'd guess that you'll definitely not be on speaking terms afterwards ![xx(]

I don't know if it is the same in the U.S. but in Canada we can get out of a lease by providing two months of notice.

Nope, a lease is a lease, and if the landlord chooses, he can sue you for breach of contract if you don't fulfill the lease and make you pay it anyway. Why in the world is she putting stuff in your shampoo? I put laxative in my exhusband's wine when we weren't getting along, but that's another story.

A lease is a lease is a lease until the tenant decides not to live up to it. In the overwhelming majority of cases, the tenant wins, especially if they can justify their decision to bail out, and this sounds like good justification to me. Mostly, it's not worth the landlord's time and effort to sue someone over a lease, because they don't stand to gain much by a lawsuit, and they don't stand to lose much if they just let the matter rest.
