I'm all for the Science Soap Opera idea.  Any studios want to take us on[8D]?

Considering the medical side, maybe we should call it a Science Soap Opera-tion!  Soap is fabricated using lyes too, so that bit fits.

Does anyone know of any animals (I'm guessing they'd have to be mamals) where the males breast-feed the young?

There is a type of bat that has been recently discovered where the males have a high rate of mammary gland development and milk is present.  The article I was reading indicated they had not observed them breastfeeding, but they had not observed them very much at all.  Otherwise, no I don't think there are any species where the males breastfeed their offspring. (According to this one unnamed source of mine - unnamed because I can't remember where I read it.)

Men (as in human males in case anyone is unsure !) can lactate (produce breast milk) give the right hormones. This can be induced artificially (some antipsychotics cause galatorrhoea (milk production) by promoting prolactin release), or naturally. Daily breast massage can occasionally induce milk production in men and women.
