When posting a couple of wiki links with text written in between them, when I'm logged in I can see the 3 paragraphs of my text between the wiki links, but when I'm logged out I can't, which renders the post as unintelligible.I've deleted the second wiki link to rectify this anomaly, but it is your 'you have to be registered to see links' that would seem to be also obscuring the view of the text written between in addition to the links.
I noticed that the forum is continuously transferring data from external websites I don't visit. This happens when adblockplus is disabled in Firefox. Any ideas what's going on?
... You can insert the images into your posts (rather than just attaching them) if you click on the "insert attachment"; then the picture is displayed in all its glory in your post. I've edited the ones above to do this for you.
Apparently I am not alone in being unable to insert an uploaded image into a post ... Quote from: chris on 05/09/2017 09:17:00... I can upload an image, so it's attached to a post, but clicking on "Insert Attachment" does nothing.
A convention used on many forums to make it clear to whom one is replying is to use the "at" symbol in front of their user name. However, when I attempted to do so here I discovered it was a blacklisted 'word'. Why? I presume it is to exclude email addresses from posts, but there must be a better way to do that. No?
It's about revenues right? And connecting everything someone write to everything else. What it makes for is the slowest site I visit on the net. If you really want people coming here it at least should update fast, and I don't **** care about doing internet on a phone. A pretty stupid idea in my view fitting only those that feel that constant need to be 'connected' and overachieve. As I see it, this site is getting slower and slower, and more and more incomprehensible for the casual viewer.=alsoChris, you, or whatever defines the role here, should define the new direction of TNS. And if you believe yourself, aka TNS, to have the competence also the credentials of your chosen ones. In that way you will become a conservative force for the good of 'everyone' curious, depending on credentials. I think us old posters should have the benefit of understanding your 'new vision' of TNS future. Because this site is not what I signed up to, once.
... 5) Click "Insert attachment" - You should see "attachment=0" appear within [ ] in your post in the cursor location ...
That's weird; can you try another browser to see if the problem replicates?
Are you blocking javascript? It executes a bit of javascript to do the modification of the post box to insert the image...
