What is materials science?

Do you mean chemistry?

Or do you mean fundamental particles?

Or do you mean materials as in engineering?

I really don't know ...

I think M.S. is about the manufacture, structure, behaviour, properties and applications of materials, interdisciplinary with physics, chemistry and engineering. I guess I may get some inspiration here.

Thanks a lot. I'm now working on a computational project, FE modelling of microstructure of some aerospace material. The first step is to build up a database through some materials experiment. But I'm rather fresh in experimentation. So I'm expecting to find a forum where I might share some experience.
