Dearest Senseology Experts & Peeps With Some Sense,


There are five senses yes ?

Sight, Smell, Touch, Taste & (cripes !!..I can't think of the fifth one !!)

anyway..here I am using my sense of sight !

My daughty tells me that today in school she was told that there are in fact up to twenty senses !!!..TWENTY !!....no way !!

If there are please tell me about them...oh...and if ewe can enlighten me about the other sense I have forgotten then I would be most grateful (hmm..maybe it's four senses ?)

It depends on what you define as a sense and whether you'd lump some senses together as a single sense or count them as individual senses. Consider touch, for example. You can perceive differences in both pressure and temperature with your fingers. Would you consider the pressure and temperature senses to be two seperate senses, or would you lump them together as part of a single sense?

Even the ability to tell the passage of time might be considered a sense.

Hearing Sheepy's Baaa is his 5th sense but we know Sheepy has lost some hearing in one ear.. do you suppose that's why Sheepy left out that very important sense?
