Can chromium salts help in the management of diabetes?
« on: 19/03/2009 22:08:58 »
Someone suggested to me that she'd be told that chromium salts could help in the treatment of diabetes. Is this true and, if so, what's the rationale?

A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial ...

CONCLUSIONS—There is no evidence that chromium in the form of chromium yeast is effective in improving glycemic control in Western patients with type 2 diabetes who are taking oral hypoglycemic agents.
