there are other reasons too. As assets and geopolitics, gunboat diplomacy, because even if the land is dead assets still may exist. And our industrialized society needs them to keep our 'living standard'. So that will become added reasons for pumping in guns, threats and 'aid'. And it will collide with other nations that may prefer to support another faction. It's no news but it will get worse. And your wallet will shrink, everything will start to cost more than you're used too. Inequality will grow internally as well as externally.

And once that process starts developing repression will grow.

And your hierarchies will play on herd instincts, patriotism, you against the world with God on your side. And there will be constant blame games.

and it is as that guy pointed out. Even with only a one percent chance of a nuclear war, it will come. And why that is, is because you need to set a time to your percentage, without that it's more or less meaningless, it doesn't tell us a thing about how you reached that conclusion.

and the most funny thing is that we all, to different degrees maybe, still share the same instincts. So the herd psychology works on you too, no matter your education. And then there is the delay global warming has if we now ban fossils, for real, a real ban, now.

There the guesses are many but the life cycle for the green house emission we created so far actually counts in millenniums, even though the major part might disappear in a couple of centuries. But you don't have centuries, you have decades.

Then we have outsourcing, like China producing your batteries, Thailand you CPU:s etc. International trade will find it more and more problematic with trade wars and ban's growing. Not only due to storms, land degradations and food, water, but to the competition and inequality growing. And those countries should be hit before f.ex Europe, that's just a guess from my side, but I expect civil unrest to grow there too.

And then we have your mindset, behind those walls, looking at those 'useless' migrants 'stealing' your food and water. The circle shrinks for you.

And you start to smell, real bad.

It's a recipe for hate, genocides, concentration camps and wars.

It will take approximately thirty years to get close enough to realize it without a change.

On the other tentacle, the timeline for a war, a nuclear, might be a lot closer than that. Depending on your hierarchies and 'new leaders'. Because that is what you will look for. A new 'strong leader'.

Thinking of it, shouldn't it have to do with those herd instincts? The way we always have been unable to create a real democracy without weighting? Well, our own instincts then combined with those herd instincts. We don't trust ourselves at all, we only trust 'leaders', right? If it is so then it's no wonder that there is no feeling of responsibility existing, only blame games.

and that's one of the ways we built this game, no one being responsible for anything. We even put it into our laws.

From a viewpoint of physics and philosophy it seems more and more probable to me that this is the way it works, not only on earth. The majority of advanced technological civilizations killing themselves before they have a chance to mature. The time scale for a change, no matter if you do change, becomes incredibly short as I look at it. And yes, I don't like your hierarchies, but that doesn't matter as long as you keep voting, or otherwise lifting, up the wrong kind of people.

Mostly the worst examples we can produce. And their ideology has very little to do with that. In a best case scenario being 'enlightened', but I don't see any of that today. Only 'real politik', which to my mind should take us over the edge pretty soon.

You can exchange real politik, at least to some degree, for 'game theory'. It builds on the same assumptions, or presumptions.

That you can't change. And using those instruments change won't happen.

with those of you reading and getting my line of thought being lightyears before any leaders today. They still think in terms of 'Natural gas' being a 'transition fuel'. they won't change, they will play the game of 'real politik' because 'everyone else does' :)
