Both due to global warming, but not the exact same,  The AMOC a result over a long time study, the North Atlantic cold anomaly a result of a relatively short period of time.

You can't draw the conclusion that the short time anomaly becomes a proof of the long term study, well, at least not yet.

Well, it will give us statistics. The problem with those being that they will be all too late. 30 years too late.

There's a lot of tricky questions to this, as f.ex how much oxygen is transferred by those streams, and what would that mean? Also that the oceans lose part of its uptake of CO2 due to the circulation slowing down. it becomes a worse 'sink' of green house gasses. And what about acidity? It's like you using a mixer, then stopping. Then we have fiercer storms, ocean rise at some places in the USA, colder winters and hotter summers in Europe. And I think we will find other effects coming from it too. And heat distribution altered

Well, I've been worried about the methane stored in the tundra and shallow waters for a long time. It's one of those really difficult 'drivers' if it comes to be, About 85 times as effective of storing heat in the atmosphere than Carbon dioxide over twenty years. It would probably become a major nail in our coffin, leading to a major tipping.

the conclusion seems at first correct. But if we mix more greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere? 'Diluting' the oxygen particles? Doesn't that change the equation? Or does the balance stay the same giving the same conclusion?

I've never understood the way people degrade Russian science. I can understand questioning 'political'  interpretations of it, as how the USSR used to present some of it, but this is Bona fide science. Done the way it should be done.
