We would really like this to be extra-terrestrial wouldn't we? Maybe space travel was a possibility, somewhere around the beginning of the universe? It's one of the pillars of our science today, physics and relativity builds on it. You would need new physics for it to become true. Combining that with time dilation's may state that you could survive a space odyssey but earths civilization should be gone by the time you reach your goal. You would be home less by that time, a hobo in space. So our earth is important to us. It is what allows you to dream. Take it away and you and your dreams will be gone.
