Hi Karen, no he is home for good, no returns for now. We are still adjusting to one another and it feels like we are starting all over again. With God's will we will make it. Our families are doing well. My grand daughter is getting so big. Take care.

Hi Diane, I am so glad you have your sweetie home with you now.. I know there will be adjustments you should do well. I am glad you are all well. I bet that she is beautiful..Like her grandma! Take care and have fun!

hellllllo my beautiful beautiful ladies!!

happy belated holidays and a happy happy great new year to all!!

finally on school break...been on it for a while and took a mini vaca from work so Ive just been lazy for the past few weeks, sleeping in, getting things sorted for the new semester. On that note, I havent been lazy then...very productive!!

The time has finally come for me to cut the crap and get down to the nitty gritty as my mom says. Tomorrow will be my last "hurrah" before buckling down to this healthy new way of life. I will be celebrating my 4 year anniversary with my boyfriend by having one last "bad" meal over at the Cheesecake Factory. Aftewards, we will proceed to the supermarket where I will stock up on the healthy goods and rid my fridge of junk! Thankfully, my mom is being "supportive" by cutting back on sweets for herself and my brother....as I am infamous for sneaky little bites here and there when Im "dieting". So im glad she can finally see that I am really trying and not taking me for a game.

I bought some cool weights that I can wear as gloves to add resistance to my running. Cant wait to try it!

I wanted to ask you gals a question: Considering that I am a restless snacker ( at work, Im always nibbling on something to calm my nerves) does anyone has any suggestiong for "healthy" snacks? So far I have dried cranberries, almonds, low-fat yogurt, WATER, wheat thins....anyone else have any other suggestions?

Also, my boss was telling me that aspartme (sp?) and other fake sugars arent the best thing to have. Ive heard this a few times before but never really payed attention. Anyone have any side effects from this?

Saturday will be my official start date..I CANT WAIT!! [O8)]

Hi Nicole!

I am doing the same thing with healthier snacking...Trail mixes without the candy, just fruit and nuts...popcorn, graham crackers, fruit, etc...it is better to eat this than junk...

Hugs girlie!!!  Miss ya!

Hi Nicole and Loretta. Nicole Glad to see you are about to start again..I have had a few weeks off too. I wish I had a few more.. I would like more time to relax as this vacation was the most stressfull in my life and now I feel like I did not even get destressed and well. I am still sick with a cold I can't seem to shake and am tense.. I don't know how I am going to go back to work!! It is a long time before I get time off again.. I am glad to hear you relaxed and are getting ready for the new semester.

I am with loretta. I eat nuts and little snacks like that when I need a snack. I like cashews.. fruit etc. Good luck And GO FOR IT!!!! I am glad your mom and family  are going to take you seriously!!

so my vacation turned out to be not so calming! [:-'(] TOM made an extra early visit which startled me but he just missed me LOL. So my eating this weekend sorta sucked. I usually have no appetite or a big one around TOM time and this week it was BIG BIG BIG. Spent alot of time in bed and no excercise so I didnt get off on a great start.

Feeling much better today! My good friend got me a cute planner/journal for christmas which I started to use as a food journal.

For breakfast, had a small bowl of weight control quaker oats (banana nut flavor) mixed with a cup of soy milk and milled flaxseed. mid morning snack was handful of dried almonds and apricots and for lunch Ill have a Lean Pocket, Chicken Fajita flavor. Afternoon snack will be cup of wheat thins and dinner will be a tuna melt on wheat wrap with lots of lettuce and peppers. YUMMY!!

Sooner or later, Id like to make some more adjustments in my food intake--maybe limit cheese and meats for more fish (tuna!!) and vegetables. Ill do so gradually.

Ladies, I urge you all to try Yoplait's Chocolate Mousse Whips Yogurt!! IT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! Pathmark had a sale..20 yogurts for 7 bucks and I STOCKED UP on this! Even my mom who is not a dairy fan ate like 2 in one sitting. The peaches and cream whips is also pretty good..but I love me some chocolate :) [O8)]

Ive started taking Calcium, Vitamin B and Chromium Picolinate supplements every morning with breakfast. My boyfriend and his family always take differnt sorts of vitamins in the morning and they are rarely sick and are all pretty healthy so I wanted to try doing so too. My mom thinks Im exaggerating...I told her "ma,I want to age healthy" and she gave me a stern look and said "YOU ARE 21 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!! [???]" LOL..I dont think Im overdoing it though! the calcium is to stop the snap, crackle and pop of my bones all the time, vitamin B and CP for a healthy metabolism. Im just trying to get a healthy start. What do you ladies think?

Tonight I am aiming high to do tae-bo. Lets see if these cramps dont intefere..ARGH! [>:(]
