Every year, about 75,000 people suffer a hip fracture in the UK and a majority of those will be down to the condition osteoporosis.  Dr. Ken Poole is a rheumatologist at the University of Cambridge where he’s studying how bones weaken and change with age...

It is heard that osteoporosis can be prevented by taking some suppliments of nutrients like vitamins and minerals.Is that true?

Yes, the 'sunshine' vitamin (vitamin D) and calcium are both recommended to prevent osteoporosis

A bone density test may be used to diagnose osteoporosis, and fortunately, it is very preventable by exercising and Vitamin D in a diet is mandatory for the patient.
