The "Ruby" chip shop in Glasgow makes an aphrodisiac dish called a "stonner".

Well there you go, tis easy for you to go to Paris...Unlike those of us who live in the middle of no-where ( deepest darkest worcestershire[:0])
There is a fantastic restaurant in Ludlow called Hibiscus (has mitchelin stars []) Might want to save that one up for her though as the waiting list is about a year[:I]

Yes I know the Hibiscus, The sous-chef, Notre Eally is a chum of mine. You're right about the waiting time, fortunately, he usually gets me in far quicker than that. [] I appreciate your recommendation...get your hubby to get off his backside on the next Eurostar to Paris []

Ok...we're off out within the hour....I did suggest to wifey that we go park outside the local kebab shop and sit in the car eating some quality kebab..then hang around some street corners kicking cans and pulling faces at old people...but she said  no !!..honestly...there's just no pleasing people is there ?

I'll come back later and let you all know where we eventually went.....to be honest...it's just nice to get out of the house....Yayyyy !!!

Well, we ended up in some little bistro in Cuffley, Herts...very nice...your usual European and Italian fayre but a very friendly small restaurant.

thanks again for your help everybody...I really want to try the Hibiscus and am literally 'dieing ' for Roberts deathly stonner and am filled with bedlamatic insanity over Chris's  'I've gone quite simply mad' McBurgers !!

I love your choice...I was going to suggest this great restaurant in Quebec City as it was an Italian restaurant where the waiters sing opera and don't let the restaurant get too quiet as they will throw down an empty tray on the floor to make some noise...I was even serenaded by one of them personally...(they love to spotlight a few people)my group that accompanied me was very amused by the handsome man as he kept flirting with me...then off to the Voodoo Club...fabulous, wild place...
