The amount of progesterone injested is significanyly less this way (about 30 times less), but the side effects will diminish proportionally according to the Dr.I feel more comfortable with this schedule, but am less confident about what the results will be.

From Marnia Robinson This man took an acne medication ("Accutane") at 17 for 6 months. Immediately had problems, including erection problems during sex. Have continued for years. At first that theory seemed like a stretch, but on reading more (see study http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2704911/?tool=gateway), it looks like Accutane has the potential to damage the brain's reward circuitry, mess with mood, and other aspects of the brain that could easily interfere with sex in myriad ways. Wonder if anyone at this forum took Accutane. Here's his story:http://www.reuniting.info/as_porn_goes_up_performance_goes_down#comment-22251 http://www.reuniting.info/node/4000#comment-22314

The major change is the request from Defsync and I added an appendix at the end detailing the steps he developed to prevent NE. I rewrote most of his instruction in my own words (I hope he won’t mind), but still accredited him as the developer of the method. I plan on expanding the testosterone section, but I’ll have to continue gathering more research on it. Pyro Thanks to mat780, it's now on our website!http://sites.google.com/site/POISwebsite/

Night of restless sleep - next day similar to POIS but mainly cognitive issues that can lead to a 'hangover' type affect the following day.General nervousness/panic in situations where I least expect it - the severe hit from this leads to rapid feelings of exhaustion - but nothing like the magnitude of POIS.This suggests to me that I live life with heightened sensitivity to any stimulus that simply blows apart my ability to cope/function in a normal manner, like a total system overload. I am sure there must be anxiety sufferers who do not have POIS and enjoy a healthy sex life, so I am not going to agree with my GP that I need to relax and all will be well.Maybe I am, for some reason overly sensitive to all these stimuli - I am just wondering if I am alone with this, without wanting to change the discussion too much from POIS to general malaise!!Coffee upsets my stomach so I drink very little.I can no longer drink alcohol and the symtoms are very similar to POIS.When I went to to a rheumatologist they diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia. They suggested it had to do with level of sleep. I sleep enough hours but don't have enough of the right level. They recommended I go to one of those sleep clinics that monitor your sleep wih wires attched to your head while you sleep. Somehow when we don't get the right sleep we don't reset our bodies to function properly. I think how we breathe when asleep has a lot to do with it. I can sleep 10 hours and wake exhausted. Air quality seems to be a factor since in thinner drier air I can sleep fewer hours and wake refreshed. And POIS has a lesser effect. By improving my health through nutrition and supplements I have reduced the length of recovery from days to hours. It is not a magic cure but it takes time to improve overall heath and handle it better.

Excellent thoughts, daveman! I'm slightly envious that you learn from your setbacks. I once thought I was learning. But all my theories (e.g., why 3 incidents in a row are excellent, the 4th a bust) eventually fell apart. So now I try to just relax and be happy with the fact that the last year-and-a-half of my life are _hugely_ improved over the previous 30+ years. And I think my experiences just might be of use to someone else. That helps me to cry in my soup over this a lot less.
