I just had my first day of filming with the TLC crew. It went well. They mainly got some shots of my walking around Chinatown (San Francisco) And they had a quick interview with me and one of my doctors. Tomorrow is the main interview segment. i think it'll be more interesting, hopefully.

good

good

i cowarded out of the TLC episode as my own stability had come to a screeching halt. i made a poor decision at work, and although i wasnt having full O's, me and my gfriend were being quite intimate, and quite often. i dont even want to think that the minor POIS I encountered as a result was behind my poor decision at work, which led me to get fired.

an thus i felt in no way motivated to do the TLC bit

im very proud of you homey for stepping up.

Valtak, I had a vasectomy several years back with hopes that it would alleviate some POIS symptoms, but there was zero change/improvement.

Thank you for that EDS, I was going to ask my doc to pursue a vasectomy - but now not..
I'm still going to ask if there is otherways to supress sperm and semen production.

Meanwhile waiting for a good allergist who is on board with Dr. Waldinger's efforts
in the east coast.

Regarding safety--from wikipedia, "Skin allergy test":

Consumers who undergo skin testing should know that anaphylaxis can occur anytime. So if any of the following symptoms are experienced, a physician consultation is recommended immediately:

    * Low grade Fever
    * Lightheadedness or dizziness
    * Wheezing or Shortness of breath
    * Extensive skin rash
    * Swelling of face, lips or mouth
    * Difficulty swallowing or speaking

...

Even though skin testing may sound like a benign procedure it does have some risks which include swollen red bumps (hives) may occur after the test. The hives usually disappear in a few hours after the test. In rare cases they can persist for a day or two. These hives may be itchy and are best treated by applying an over the counter hydrocortisone cream. In very rare cases one may develop a full blown allergic reaction. Physicians who perform skin test always have equipment and medications available in case an anaphylaxis reaction occurs. This is the main reason why consumers should not get skin testing performed at corner stores or by people who have no medical training.

Thank you, Guthrie!

Could it be an adverse effect of addrenaline. Maybe exhausted adrenal glands? I heard some foods can cause adrenal gland malfunctions.

Maybe I'm biased, but I have yet to see convincing data on "adrenal fatigue".

Perhaps my bias comes from seeing too much in the way of "quacklike" information and not enough that seems solidly and medically/scientifically based.

But I'm open.

Measure in 16ths and divide by 0.63 to get millimeters.
1/16 = 1/0.63 = 1.58mm.

He was asking about milliliters, no meters... :-)

1 mL is also called 1 cc (cubic centimeter 1cmx1cmx1cm) If you look at a needle that a doctor give you injections with these are typically marked out in cc, so the 1 mark is 1 mL or 1cc

Very remarkable:
That beat has a frequency about 2 times my heartbeat and is mostly very ‘remote’, and
 ‘deep inside’………………………...

I get this and others I remember say this happens to them too... it sounds like heart palpitations, the heart get into an odd beat pattern, not sure if they call this a bad rhythm or not, but they are can be bad for some people.

I find that as long as I do not have caffeine, salt, or MSG, mine stay away.

Personannly I think IT could be more than one thing combined. But I read an article on adrenal exhaustion. It gave symtoms and one was about appetite. It said when you get hungry you want food right that moment or you want to kill someone. LOL Thats me for sure. It gave other symtoms that fit me pretty well. And about the time POIS started on me I was eating lots of McDonalds and lots of MSG products. So who knows. They have a diet to take ofcourse! Which is supposed to help. Dont guess it could hurt. Im about ready to try anything! Process of elimination will find the cure for POIS!

PS.

My POIS started with palpatations and the symptoms grew from there. Ive been to a cardiologist twice. He said my heart is great. They said I do have murmor but nothing to worry about. I ask him if maybe it could be a leaky valve. He assured me it was nothing. My palpatations are gone now but I do get the throbbing and racing feel during POIS.

I know exactly how POIS can interfere with work. It really is a difficult obstacle. Hang in there, friend.

Taking more Tramadol And Gabapentin Drug Interaction than prescribed by your doctor may cause serious side effects or DEATH.
http://www.icq.com/blogs/post/54884

edit - From a physician friend just now received: "I don't know if it is as destructive as cocaine and heroin (which would do the same job), but tramadol is a synthetic opioid.  Used very judiciously, that is no big deal.  It would be like people who take a Vicodin once in a while when their back goes out.  I don't really know if Tramadol 100 mg is a lot or not.  Gabapentin 300 mg is not a lot."

Can you provide a link to that article? dbfd, please don't take this personally: the subject has come up often here over the last 4 years by a number of posters. But as I mentioned, we have yet to see good evidence of "adrenal fatigue or exhaustion".

"Adrenal Fatigue is not a real medical condition. There is no test that can detect adrenal fatigue."

"Tests for adrenal fatigue are not based on scientific facts or supported by good scientific studies."

The adrenal fatigue/exhaustion "diagnosis" is often a ruse to sell you health supplements and vitamins....or very questionable "[non]medical consultations". "[Real]doctors are concerned that supplements or vitamins sold as a treatment for adrenal fatigue could hurt you..."

Above bold-italicized quotes are from The Endocrine Society and The Hormone Foundation
