panchakarma (Pancha Karma therapy, rejuvenation therapy): Ayurvedic group of five "purificatory steps" or "elimination therapies." Panchakarma comprises: (1) emesis therapy ("therapeutic vomiting"); (2) purgation therapy -- evacuation of the bowels with a laxative; (3) errhine therapy (nasal insufflation therapy) -- intranasal application of "decongestants" such as medicated oils, powdered herbs, and ghee (fat derived from butter of cow or buffalo origin); (4) oily enema therapy; and (5) decoction (watery) enema therapy. Some Ayurvedists regard the two types of enema therapy as one step and bloodletting therapy (Raktamoksha) as the fifth.
I could need some help with my personal thoughts about POIS.Some questions too all POIS men:- Has anyone here not suffered a trauma in life?- Has anyone not experienced changes in sleep pattern?- Has anyone not suffered from porn-, sex- or any other addiction?- Has anyone a partner that you are completely satisfied with sexually and in every other way?- Has anyone here only suffered from flu-like symptoms and not mental, cognitive symptoms?- Has anyone here not had any surgical procedure carried out on body or penis ever in life?- Has anyone always had a very healthy diet during entire life?
Quote from: fornicationDENIED2 on 17/04/2013 20:45:25My biggest problems are that POIS gives me flare ups of the IBD disease. My symptoms are: brain fog, sinusitis, fatigue, bad memory, diarrhea, intese pain in the small intestine(ileum), violent mood changes and sore throat .... On a side note, I never even noticed POIS while on Prednisone(which induced Cushing's syndrome), but the secondary effects made me stop.May want to consider the possibility of systemic vasculitis caused by autoimmunity as the cause :it could cause all of the above and would go into remission with systemic steroid treatment (Prednisone). If your sinusitis causes nasal bleeding have an ENT doctor, who knows what vasculitis looks like, scope your nose, (more accessible than your small intestine) ...Quote from: mayoclinicVasculitis Symptoms ... Is that a picture of inside someone's nose? I'm sorry, but this is absolutely disgusting.
Quote from: B_Daniel on 27/04/2013 04:31:57Is that a picture of inside someone's nose? I'm sorry, but this is absolutely disgusting. What some people are describing as POIS could be systemic-vasculitis exacerbated by the vasodilation which occurs with orgasm. Systemic-vasculitis often, but not always, includes nose bleeds. The diamond shapes on skin and mucous-membrane are a tell-tale diagnostic sign of small-vessel vasculopathy, either vasculitis or pseudo-vasculitis.What is being described in this monstrous thread as POIS could be different illnesses, some already known to medical science and treatable, (e.g. vasculitis). "Disgusting" pictures like the above could enable some reading this thread to be correctly diagnosed and treated.
