Hey guys,

Do you feel a light sense of psychosis after not having ejaculated in over 10 days or so.

By light psychosis I mean:

Confused
Irritated
Impulsive
Loss of compassion
Loss of spontaneity

And other feelings related to these?

I am curious to hear your answers, thank you.

Chris.

Chris, I feel all of those, especially lack of compassion.
The abstinence approach only works to a degree for me.
I am currently taking codien, pseudoephidrine (cold & flu tablets) & alcohol & I feel back to my normal self (pre-pois). I have no joint or muscle pain & I feel strong with good posture. I am at least 50% more productive at work blah blah blah...the bottom line is I feel & function like a normal person. People may say drugs are bad & they destroy your body and so on & so forth, but to that I say: POIS destroys your body! My spine is mangled &  deformed with arthiritis. So any way, opiod receptor may be a worthy avenue of investigation. I had read somewhere about a theory of endorphin deficit. This might have something to do with why pois is bought on by extreme physical exertion in some. F*%ked if I know.

I wasn't too eager to throw out a name until I was sure the effects could be replicated again.  After my multiple orgasm I got back a lot of the POIS symptoms that day of.  However I feel I am recovering faster now.  It also has completely removed the stomach cramps and bloating I usually get.  I have not experienced any of it while on cleanser.

I could need some help with my personal thoughts about POIS.
Some questions too all POIS men:

- Has anyone here not suffered a trauma in life?

- Has anyone not experienced changes in sleep pattern?

- Has anyone not suffered from porn-, sex- or any other addiction?

- Has anyone a partner that you are completely satisfied with sexually and in every other way?

- Has anyone here only suffered from flu-like symptoms and not mental, cognitive symptoms?

- Has anyone here not had any surgical procedure carried out on body or penis ever in life?

- Has anyone always had a very healthy diet during entire life?

hi sorry not able to post on 16th taking a delay of 10 days wanted to post how I am feeling after stopping the tablets.  Presently from the god's sake, I am good and fine.  There is no POIS symtoms and having an avg of 4 to 5 o in a week.

Had appointment with my docotor on 16th.  Suggested me to stop all the medicines.  Presently, no medicines has been taken from 16th and stopped diet restriction as posed by the doctor.  Eating what I wanted and feeling good.  Happy to say that I 'am cured and POIS not bounce back for this time and final time and doctor give assurance that POIS will not come in my life again.  Hence, for my POIS there is no more treatment required and its cured.

Further, due to the POIS I am overweighted, taken many medicines.  As a preventive medicines to cleanse body once, doctors suggested me to have panchakarma theraphy for 12 days where it would be do for preventive for future diseases and to refresh the body.  Starting the theraphy from tomorrow.

So, I get a great relief from my POIS.  When I was in a POIS stage, I took a oath to god saying that I will help others in our society if I cured from my POIS.  I already started this exercise contributing to others at my level best.

panchakarma (Pancha Karma therapy, rejuvenation therapy): Ayurvedic group of five "purificatory steps" or "elimination therapies." Panchakarma comprises: (1) emesis therapy ("therapeutic vomiting"); (2) purgation therapy -- evacuation of the bowels with a laxative; (3) errhine therapy (nasal insufflation therapy) -- intranasal application of "decongestants" such as medicated oils, powdered herbs, and ghee (fat derived from butter of cow or buffalo origin); (4) oily enema therapy; and (5) decoction (watery) enema therapy. Some Ayurvedists regard the two types of enema therapy as one step and bloodletting therapy (Raktamoksha) as the fifth.

1) I had accidental electric shock just before I got pois, but I really don't think it caused the pois.
2) Sometimes it's harder for me to fall asleep and also to wake up.
3) Not sure, but I crave orgasm/sex very much when I abstain for a long time (like now).
4) I think I'm pretty satisfied, so that's okay.
5) If anything, I suffer mostly mental/cognitive symptoms and less flu-like.
6) I have never had any.
7) My diet is not the healthiest, but I have no health problems because of that (not at all overweight or anything).

My biggest problems are that POIS gives me flare ups of the IBD disease.  My symptoms are: brain fog, sinusitis, fatigue, bad memory, diarrhea, intese pain in the small intestine(ileum), violent mood changes and sore throat .... On a side note, I never even noticed POIS while on Prednisone(which induced Cushing's syndrome), but the secondary effects made me stop.

May want to consider the possibility of systemic vasculitis caused by autoimmunity as the cause :
it could cause all of the above and would go into remission with systemic steroid treatment (Prednisone).

If your sinusitis causes nasal bleeding have an ENT doctor, who knows what vasculitis looks like, scope your nose, (more accessible than your small intestine) ...

Interesting suggestion. I had a ANA test and turned out negative so that is not it. Blood tests showed I have anemia. High iron dosage has helped me to recuperate from POIS a fair bit.

Negative ANA does not rule out vasculitis, nor does a negative ANCA.
[ those with ANCA-associated vasculitis can have a negative ANCA test during remission ].

Small-vessel vasculitis (and pseudo-vasculitis) can cause distinctive diamond-shapes on skin and mucous-membrane, more obvious on mucous-membrane as diamond-shaped bleeding-ulcers. This is why I was suggesting an ENT doctor who could recognise vasculits has look up your nose if your nose bleeds. The same type of markings can occur in the bowel in IBD but inside the nose (and palate) are easier to inspect than your small-intestine.

fornicationDENIED, would you please confirm that your nose isn't bleeding so that we can rule our vasculitis and go back to discussing POIS?  Also, if your body looks anything like the above pictures, go see a doctor immediately.

Hi all,

Anybody ever investigate the Aluminium toxicity lead ? Suposed symtoms of Al toxicity interestingly close to ours. Can you link the beginning of your POIS symtoms to an abnormal Al exposure(vaccin, utilisation of aluminum chlorure deodorant, etc) ?

What some people are describing as POIS could be systemic-vasculitis exacerbated by the vasodilation which occurs with orgasm. Systemic-vasculitis often, but not always, includes nose bleeds. The diamond shapes on skin and mucous-membrane are a tell-tale diagnostic sign of small-vessel vasculopathy, either vasculitis or pseudo-vasculitis.

What is being described in this monstrous thread as POIS could be different illnesses, some already known to medical science and treatable, (e.g. vasculitis). "Disgusting" pictures like the above could enable some reading this thread to be correctly diagnosed and treated.

I never had any skin mark or nose bleeding, but I am getting a capsule endoscopy so I will keep it in mind.
My gastro intestinal issues were Abdominal pain, diarrhea, mucosa, malnutrition, and GI bleeding
I had ulcers in the large intestine and inflammation in the ileum (small intestine) and diagnosed with Crohn disease but the ulcers could have been caused by Nsaids (advil, etc.) used for muscle pain thanks to malnutrition causing poor muscle mass. Also, a gluten free diet helped significantly ( possible Celiac?). Interestingly, a Crohn disease study showed that poor blood supply causing immune deficiency
http://www.webmd.com/ibd-crohns-disease/crohns-disease/news/20060224/viagra-may-help-crohns-disease
Could systemic vasculitis cause poor blood supply to the intestines?

Does anyone here suffer from histamine intolerance? It has very similar symptoms to POIS.
