What is the treatment for post-herpetic neuralgia?

Lynda has been in touch to ask:
Is there any research to suggest any relief or cure for the excruciating pain of Post Herpetic Neuralgia in the near future? My partner has suffered constant pain in the T2 area for over 5 years since an episode of shingles.
What do you think?

Capsaicin (chili pepper) and curcumin are natural anti-inflammatory remedies for pain relief including post-herpetic neuralgia.
