Do higher levels of HSP70 increase the rate of regeneration?
« on: 03/12/2017 19:15:19 »
I'm doing on a project on starfish regeneration. I was just wondering if the heat shock protein HSP70 benefits regeneration? Does it increase the rate? Or is just the normal amount necessary?
Thank you!

Thanks for posting. Do you have a particular reason for suspecting that HSPs might have a role in this process? Have you done a literature review already?

Yes, I have read many journals that stated HSP70 played a crucial role in regeneration. I just need to figure out if higher levels of HSP70 benefit regeneration. Although, it has been found very high levels can lead to cancer and other diseases.
