Just a coincidence...?

This morning I woke up with some toothache, went to hte oilet, had nreakfast then went onto Facebook. Scrolled down a little bit and then there it was, a sponsored advert for a local dentist.
Now I know all about computer cookies but I hadn't Google anything about teeth, so Im ruling that one out.
Here's the possible explanations -
It was just an incredible coincidence, perhaps that advert had been on there before but I only took notice of it today because of the toothache, but then that wouldn't explain why Im getting dentists adverts, most of the facebook ads I get are usually targetted at me due to cookies.
2: I was talking about toothache in my sleep and my phone or computer heard this and that's why I got targetted with that ad. well i did sleep with the laptop on next to me, although the advert was on my phone's facebook, which was the other side of the room. Facebook have also denied listening to use through our phones. Also I don't seem to get targetted ads for other conditions I've Googled.
3: Facebook has created some kind of mind reading program.
4: We are living in a simulated universe
5: Ghosts?

I had not considered those possibilities.
I probably sound as mad as someone that has claimed to have seen the Lochness Monster.

Just a coincidence. Think about all of the years you've spent on the Internet and how many ads you must have seen. You were bound to have an ad relevant to a recent event in your life due to chance alone after a long enough wait.

It's no coincidence - we are indeed listening in. Oh, and while I'm here, would you like to buy some Viagra?

David,

My hope was that it would be understood as humour. But with any of these devices you should assume that they're listening in, just as they read all your emails.

"My hope was that it would be understood as humour"
as was my response...unfortunately it seems humor is a victim in this age.
