We spend billions, maybe trillions on the wrong type of infra structures. We also spend it on getting away from earth, a earth that those days are in a shamble. We won't get away from here though, and any 'space habitat' created will have to rely on this earth we're making go extinct.

There is no trust to it. It's the opposite. It's where you expect your neighbor to want to kill you. USA and their weapon laws exemplify that on a individual scale. Canada used to exemplify the opposite. It's about your beliefs, the way you've been treated and the way others behave, it's also about empty ideals not meaning sh* in the age of nuclear proliferation.

There was this 'dream', about western superiority, exemplified by the attack on Libya and Khadaffi. A 'super polis' backed up by the best weapon technology in the world. It was a western dream, a sort of extension of 'the white mans game' in where we thought we could 'export' our ideals and beliefs by force.
