The balance between them and you will grow at the same time as the whole contraption sinks, due to global warming, inequality, greed, incompetence, water, groundwater, overfishing, acidity, floods and droughts, pesticides and artificial fertilizers, pollutions as micro plastics, deforestation's, wild fires, assets disappearing with no recycling, topsoil disappearing, fiercer and longer lasting storms,   and the list goes on.

There is another side effect to not daring to do something. It makes people think that it can't be as catastrophic as it is. Because if it was, wouldn't our 'leaders' do something? The answer there is that they won't go against the hand that feeds them. The same hand that feeds you actually. The game.

To me it's all infra structures, the wrong ones. It's intentions, it's words, it's promises. But the reality behind those is bound to support the wrong type of infra structures, the wrong type of spending. You're prepared to spend trillions on war but nothing on global warming. You're prepared to go to space but you won't have anything of worth waiting for you at home.

Then we can look at what you're not prepared to do. Changing farming practices, banning pesticides, plastics, oil, coal, and that marvelous invention 'Natural gas' including fracking, deforestation's, overfishing. And the list goes on there too. It's related to the game and the infra structures you built that too.

It's a game based on inequality and profits. The excuse for it is that you get what you want, or possibly deserve. Everything has to make a profit, your country, yourself. Enough will never be enough for the game. So it expect itself able to wait until it becomes more profitable to be 'green' than not. It also expect itself to be able to keep the existing infra structures, hierarchies, inequality.

When becoming 'green' also become 'profitable', according to this game, will be when we lost all ways out of global warming.

And the way it thinks of it, becoming 'green', will still be a failure as it will be based on the wrong infra structures. You don't get a thing, do you?

The most plausible outcome to me are mass starvation's and wars, and with it a broken international trade and lot more ugly geopolitics. with it your own society will change from what you call a democratic to a repressive.

And it will be comparatively easy to arrange that change. When Mr Trump wanted 'his' soldiers to support him it was due to a few people high in the military hierarchy that he didn't get them out in the streets. You all have hierarchies, and you all leave it to your 'leaders'.

The same leaders that today looks increasingly incompetent.
