It breaks down. It would be nice if we could build this logical construct joining 'negative pressure' with 'dark energy' and sort of getting relativity and quantum mechanics to agree on it, but we're still far from it. Well, as far as I see.

Myself I have some problems with inflation, one of them being the assumed very small 'origin'. The one containing all this heat. It's not logically, and semantically, satisfactory to me. I think it's wrong to describe it in form of a 'size' just as it is wrong to describe our current universe as having a 'size' of some sort.

Furthermore it implies a coordinate system, aka the possibility of backtracking it to a 'origin'. The reality I know of is that the only back tracking possible for us is using time. You look out on the universe and you can see its beginning.

You move somewhere else in time and space, and you will see the same. No walls and no end.

That way we can, by looking backwards in time, confirm our ideas of the evolution of the universe. And physics.

The big foundations of physics, the assumptions that relativity builds on too. That here just as there the laws, symmetries and properties are the same.

You can get to that from inflation too. But you don't need to.

The model in where there is no defined singular spatial region, or 'origin', is the one satisfactory to me. That's also the way I think both inflation and expansion works.

And a 'origin' in what? With a emergence there becomes new structures and new couplings, maybe impossible to backtrack. Water becoming ice is one example used. And you don't need dimensions for it, not if you assume that per relativity those are 'fluid'. They belong to a state.

A four dimensional continuum, having no outside and no defined singular origin spatially. Although you always will find it when looking through the universe history, out at the stars. Backwards in time as defined by 'c'.

If you look at it this way 'time' becomes very interesting.

It doesn't matter if the universe is in a accelerating expansion. It's still infinite. And the process can be backtracked using 'c', which means that you look at the old light from the furthest moments in time of its evolution. From that to then accepting that you will see the same anywhere and at any time. From that to accepting the idea that what is here should be the same as there.

you can do it other ways too of course, but you will get an enormous headache trying to make it work. And I don't think you will succeed.

You can express it as the 'origin' is with us. It's a emergence from one state to another. And it's the same universe creating this new state.

It would make dimensions a result, not a origin. We need them, the universe we know needs them, but it's still a state.

And it builds from 'c' being a equivalence to your 'clock'. Locally.

And this?   https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/mar/02/i-knew-about-the-allegations-more-than-a-year-ago-heres-why-i-didnt-report-them

I don't know. I can understand her, not that I've been there myself. But I would like to believe that I would check it up, and if I found it to be true get her to the police as fast as possible, to tell her story. The laws we have can only be as good as how we implement them, and trust them. And that goes for all involved, from the police to the civilians. It's a agreement we've created amongst ourselves, a game inside the game, and it tells us about our own and society's limits. This is a western outlook at it, and building on rights, individual rights.

And this stinks, war in general stinks, and the people driving them and supporting them stinks even worse. Decision makers and leaders, and their f*ng real politik.  You don't change a thing by profiting on it.

I think you can read this two ways. Either as it is presented, optimistic, or as a sign of the times. Us looking for hope. I would say that a more realistic approach would be to look at how much we have lost the last fifty years than to search after those environments not yet hit. There will always be something optimistic possible, as a frog found that was thought to be extinct. That doesn't change that this species still is on a extinction list. It's accelerating, that is what you need to see.

If you want something building up a anime, instead of comic relief, then I think log horizon becomes pretty good. It could almost become a book, or maybe it already is?

According to IEA   "After hitting a low point in April, global emissions rebounded strongly and rose above their 2019 level in December," said the IEA. They were thus 2% above their December 2019 level last December. This corresponds to additional discharges of 60 million tonnes.

“The rebound in CO2 emissions around the world at the end of last year is a serious warning that we have not done enough to accelerate the transition to clean energy across the world,” the Minister warned. Executive Director of the IEA, Fatih Birol. "

https://www.tellerreport.com/life/2021-03-02-%0A---co2-emissions-are-already-on-the-rise-again%0A--.ryybfujzd.html

Isn't it remarkable? That words, agreements, and magic wands do so little here? Not even when written down on real paper, with signatures.
