Hi All,
Thanks, it's good to be back. We had a blast in Vegas! Had to iron out car and computer problems upon return; now to resolve staff problems and I'll be peachy.
Missed talking with everyone, but have been reading. Had my privacy level set too high and couldn't log in.

I missed sending Quantumcat good wishes for her stay in France. I imagine she's taking in all the sights...what a great experience!

Yes, like the alternative medicine area. Thank u. New to your site. I stumbled upon this doing research on Stevia. I am finding it is a great alternative to sugar that is natural and no chemical, no calorie, no sachcharin, no aspartame, no sodium , all natural item. I am so excited about this product. It doesn't hurt diabetics. Still looking for any research on it that proves that there is anything bad that happened to anyone using this plant in the past 50 or so years. Stevia Leaf Extract. [

As a Shiatsu Practitioner I'd like to question the terminology being used here:
It would be more appropriate (and accurate) to use the term 'complementary medicine', rather than 'alternative medicine' when discussing therapies bases on energetics, as we generally aim to complement - rather than offer an alternative to - alleopathic medicine.
And your use of the term 'traditional medicine' is confusing, as the term 'traditional' depends on your viewpoint.
In China, Japan, Tibet, India etc. the term 'Traditional medicine' means forms of medicine based on an awareness of energetic systems that have been practiced for thousands of years.
And Shiatsu, which was developed in Japan in the 20th Century, is based on an awareness of both 'traditional Chinese medicine' (TCM), and western models of anatomy, physiology and psychology.
I think that is would be more appropriate (and accurate) to use the term 'alleopathic medicine' when referring to medicine based purely on western models of anatomy, physiology and pathology.
Hope that's helpful comment! [

I should suggest that some energising massage wouldn't go amiss either ! [

Thanks for the clarification.

Well spotted Chris - and while we're on the subject - I prefer to call it 'Shiatsu'!
