In 1763 James Watt discovered how he could make a steam engine efficient, he spent several months perfecting it and came up with the first commercial steam engine. This caused a steam driven industrial revolution where steam power transformed the lives of people everywhere, with steam engines for pumping, weaving, and later steam locomotives to move goods and materials around. Today we still use steam in power generation and thousands of other applications.

In the mid 1920s there was a physicist called Townsend T Brown. he had a great interest in electromagnetism and what causes it. like we wonder about the universe and where we came from, He was fascinated why the humble capacitor, an electric component most of us carry by the 1000 in our mobile electronics, can create a force from nowhere if charged to a high enough voltage. he spent years creating a objects and charging them with high voltages. He eventually produced a metal disk which would move in a vacuum something that shouldn’t happen. These affects are fact. You can go out and repeat the experiments yourself. Modern science simply wants to sweep it under the carpet and hope it will go away. But they’ve never disproved it. The question is can we afford to ignore it. Imagine someone told James watt to go and throw his steam engine in the Clyde. Well isn’t it about time someone threw these fundamental thorns in the side of modern physics a life raft?

And you can say someone would have invented the efficient steam engine anyway, it was only a matter of time. But the question is how much time have we got? The steam engine brought us the ability to produce far more goods than we actually needed to survive, so brought about modern capitalism in more ways than one. As bigger populations want more wealth using more power, have we got long enough to wait? Can we ignore technologies that might be there for our ends now, when we might not have a future to say “why didn’t we listen then”. It’s about time we didn’t ignore things because we don’t like then, science fact if it happens there must be a reason. And the irony is it's the steam engine that brought us this civilized world we live in today, well I bet every other species on this planet would see the day the steam engine came, as the beginning of the death of their world.

So lets not us stick our heads in the sand, lets be open to anything that experiment shows us, however it goes against our learning. Because that’s all it is learnt. Lets find the truth and save the planet and its population of species, and not forgetting ourselves.

Surely because of alien intervention.  Their diabolical plans would be ruined if we discovered them prior to the invasion.

They don't need to invade; we're doing a great job of killing ourselves and our host (Earth).  There probably were lost civilizations on Mars...ours!  We likely screwed that planet up so much that we had to terraform Earth to suit our needs and that's where all the mysterious knowledge and technology, like building the pyramids, came from.  History tends to repeat itself.

Ben Bova wrote a book along those lines ("Mars") where mankind finally started exploring Mars and found remnants of a civilization.

Who knows, maybe we are from mars, or maybe even farther!

ok, sensible discussion then. don't think i mentioned
aliens. or did you start on about aliens for a reason?
please enlighten me, or maybe abduct me .

anyway aliens apart, are there not serious questions to
be answered? If you can answer them and say it's a load
of toss that'd do me. I just don't tend to beleive people
who disregard things that don't fit into their way of thinking

so instead of talking aliens maybe you could give some plausable
reasons maybe? at the end of the day all i'm intersted in is
whats right, whether it's this way or that way i don't care. just as long as it's right.

That makes me angry. I've heard alot about scientists who've discovered breakthrough technologies and they were simply put down or ignored. We should be investigating their discoveries and trying to make them more effective. It doesn't do us any good at all if we ignore them. These discoveries could potentially revolutionized the modern world.

The Hutchison Effect is an interesting one. There should be serious investigations done on this. If we can find a use for it, then we may be abel to create antigravity drives!
