We have been getting a lot of spam recently so some of us are getting attuned, but we always give people benefit of doubt unless it’s blindingly obvious.

Somebody testing part of a 'automated' program connecting to Servers. Maybe later added to some more sophisticated part testing defenses trying to get in gaining 'privileges'. There's a lot of 'ready made' programs existing on the net, for 'script kiddies' if I remember right.
