Geopolitics thrives under hierarchies. It's the same procedure as when a government does 'what is good for you'. Closed doors and no whistle blowers. What I mean is that this is fertile soil for corruption. Who will know?

One could say that earth has some rather good points evicting us. We refuse to grow up, we don't want responsibility for our actions and we made living a race for profit.

It's a wonder that the rest of earths animals are able to exist without our 'laws', isn't it?

Logic is a wonderful thing. Let me apply it on hierarchies for a short while. One of the best excuses it has is your unwillingness to axle responsibility, therefore it is there to do it for you. And as we know whatever it does it does it for your own good. But have you noticed what happens when things doesn't turn out as predicted?

There is no end to the excuses and you will find no one responsible for anything. And the game is also rigged so that, mostly, those figureheads that indeed should take responsibility  can walk away with a bonus of some sort.

And you accept it.

I read somewhere that 'aktiebolag' (stock companies) was a Swedish 'invention', not sure about that one but what a 'limited company' does is to keep the stockholders free from responsibility. The company becomes its own legal subject so to speak. The idea was that a lot more money would be freed from the mattresses if those that invested didn't have to worry about being responsible for misfortunes.

So yes, nobody takes responsibility those days.

And let us not forget the 'blame game' :) Some politicians and industrialists like to present themselves as being too good to do so, but hey, they already got off , with a bonus or promise. So no, hierarchies does not fulfill anything today, except protecting their own back.

And they are also one of the major players enabling global warming. The structure we have made make it more or less inevitable. It's a invitation to unlimited greed and abuse of trust.

Especially as they always will prefer closed doors for the 'more sensitive' deals they set up. And you wonder why nothing is being done?

And no, it's not about what 'political party' that comes to power. It's about you and me, the way we act, core beliefs and greed. The politics doesn't really make a difference there.

We shouldn't forget our bureaucracies when it comes to this. Theirs are a magic world where none need to feel themselves responsible :)

Yeah, I usually find us rather amusing, and so I guess do most others that take a generalized view of humanity.
Then again, what came out of it isn't really amusing.

Read it carefully, maybe you will see what I missed? Because there is one really serious objection I would put first here, and I couldn't find it? No, not principle 15 although that one is just as important.

My objection is that you can't just go around wiping out species. Mosquitoes are part of a food chain, long established. Then there are the ones pointing out that there are different species of mosquitoes taking over the extinct species role,  and those worrying about them mutating naturally surviving.

If they do maybe all mosquitoes have a chance to carry only sons too?
That would mean the opposite.

All of it is about this balance earth worked out, trial and errors. We were part of that, but now we seem to consider ourselves 'freed'. And we call it smart thinking.

What made most sense to me in that article was this. " We believe genetic modification is never a solution. There is always a risk that the mosquitoes will mutate and we will lose track of them. People in our country must learn to live more hygienically, then the malaria mosquito will disappear in a safer way.”

Then again, they're doing what we did to get control over our environment, but now using gene modifications for it.The difference I see is the one between playing with conventional bombs to then start playing with nuclear. You can't ignore principle 15.

Another thing worth noticing is that this is western 'bio technology' exported to a poor country with fewer restrictions and possibility of education. They become our laboratory for testing out new 'technology' in much a same manner as arms producers let small country's 'test out' their new weapons.

And I'm not cynical, it is a part of the system you want to save.
