Since this is a science forum, here's another, more scientificified, picture:

Punning isn't science - it's heart.

I nominate Pork Pie, one of my two Mediterranean Spur Thighed Tortoise (Testudo (graeca) graeca).
Here she is:

I second Pork Pie, but only if you clean up after her mess in the TNS porking lot.

April 20, 2012 is:
DNA Day!
http://www.genome.gov/10506367

DNA Day. 24 hrs of it. Just as Mr Pitney was 24hrs from Tulsa back in '63.

I wonder, is Gene home yet?

Ah! The 60's. I used to watch in awe as the birds flew across the sky, especially the Crows, Maggpies and Jays, and wished that just for a moment I could do likewise. Will I ever have a crow mo some day?

As I watched, a large Crow swooped down and struck a cat. The cat ran for cover and under a bush tended to his wound. He licks himself twice (double he licks) and stays out of sight of the bold Crow. A passing woman was so intent on watching this episode that she did not see the low branch of a young Horse Chestnut. Her head hit tree so hard, she was dazed.

For the 2nd Year in a row, let's have a hearty double round of applause for Don_1 (not Don_2), who once again walks away with The He-Licks-Himself-Twice Award!

GOOD GRIEF! You have made me see the light: Its a sign, a warning, AN OMEN!!!

OH! Woe, woe and thrice woe! I have seen a sign of great foreboding, I have seen the end!

Sorry, pardon, I thought I'd done up my fly.

Run for your lives, the end is nigh!

Our nation shall be no more.

Oh! Woe, woe and thrice woe, the British Isles are about to sink beneath the waves!

In 1912 it was the Titanic, now in 2012 it will be the
Olympics.

Coming up fast!
April 25, 2012:
Another DNA Day !
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNA_day

What are we to do??

Must we re-pun ourselves?

Again??

Francis Frick et al wrote up their famous finding on April 25, 1953. Dis was published in NAture Magazine, a prestigious science journal.

Stand up for the rites of RNA.

I have developed a habit of drinking brake fluid, but I should be able to stop at any time.

So now you think we'll solve this with rifles???

My wife asked me to remove a picture from over the fireplace.

It was an off-the-wall remark.
