Is flossing good for your general health?
Here's my question: do people who floss their teeth really live longer? And, if it's true, is it because there is a real connection between the health of our teeth and our body's health or is it just that people who floss tend to take better care of their entire body? Is this somehow connected to the health of our microbiome?

Chris - The answer is yes and scientists at the University of Otago in New Zealand have shown that if you don't floss your teeth, actually your risk of having heart disease and stroke is much, much higher because it increases inflammation in your blood vessels and encourages them to become furred up.
