Syphilitic gumma of the right ventricle


An 1897 autopsy specimen from a man of 30 who died suddenly, shortly after undergoing an operation for haemorrhoids, at which time he was thought to be in good general health. At the autopsy all the viscera with the exception of the heart were found to be normal.
