Cardiovascular pathology: Aortic valve: Acute bacterial endocarditis

An autopsy specimen from a 29 year old woman from Portugal who was admitted to the intensive care unit on 17.10.76. She was due to have an operation for aortic stenosis, but she died shortly after admission in gross congestive cardiac failure.
